Established in 2009, is a place where talents are stretched and dreams are realized.

Destiny Studio began when studio owner, moved back from Nashville to be closer to home. Sarah needed a job and since she had her degree in commercial music she thought, “Hey - I could do this for a bit until I land on my feet!”, so she started teaching voice lessons out of a vacant bedroom in her Mom’s house. Little did she know that she would begin to dream beyond those four walls.

Fast forward a few years, Sarah moved into the location where Destiny Studio currently resides and hired a few more teachers for guitar and piano. Since then, the studio has grown tremendously and has impacted more people than Sarah could ever imagine.

Present day, Destiny Studio staffs over 10 amazing instructors and offers a wide variety of services that cater to the creative of every age. The Studio grew from a place to receive a private voice lesson to a home for artists to practice their skill and gain confidence in a safe, nurturing, and encouraging space.

Their Aledo location is open on Bankhead Highway.

A watercolor artist, illustrator, and calligrapher specializing in licensing custom artwork and watercolor patterns to clothing companies, wedding stationers, interior designers, and other brands across the country. Catherine Cartie loves creating for her online product shop, which consists of original paintings and art prints, silk scarves, notecards, gift wrap, playing cards, and an annual Christmas Card and acrylic ornament collection.

🦋 She is probably most known for her butterflies. A few years ago, she created a series of watercolor butterfly paintings that resonated with my audience in such a beautiful and unexpected way. To be able to connect with people through sharing their stories of butterflies really made her understand the power that art has to bring us together. Those butterflies took on a life of their own and have become a central part of her brand.

When not painting or dreaming of new products or pattern ideas, you can find her on the tennis court, at some kind of kid’s sporting event, or at my favorite local coffee shop with my friends, and my 3 beautifully crazy children, Jack, Elliot, and Maes.

Dr. Kovach has been practicing dentistry since graduating from the Baylor College of Dentistry in 2008. Before entering dentistry, she completed her undergraduate studies at Baylor University. Now, in her own practice, she enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. Building strong relationships enables her to offer truly comprehensive care.

In addition to the great work she does in-office, Dr. Kovach is also dedicated to continuing her education. Through the learning she’s done with Spear Education, she is able to provide quality, modern care.

GET TO KNOW Founder, Chairperson and Executive Director of Mary Jean Bentley, as she shares her story.

Branch To Hope is a Christ-focused community center with a passion to encourage families and pour much needed hope into our community and future generations!

The Lord used the Hunstable family tragedy of 2020 to open my eyes for the need to minister to the hurting hearts in our community. I discovered that through conversations that many people were struggling with depression, su***de thoughts, their identity in Christ and Self Worth.

Branch To Hope is unique as we believe our center has been chosen for Parker County to be a place to get away from our busy schedules, relax, unwind and experience the beauty of caring attitudes and God’s nature.

The Mentorship Experience Program. “Our Flagship Program” is my favorite thing about BTH. Mentorship defines the heart of Branch to Hope, making a difference in lives both for MENTORS sharing their wisdom, talents, and gifts; along with MENTEES who receive life-changing value through the learned experiences. Mentorship is a vehicle to build relationships through individual and group interactions forming lifelong friendships in a Christ-centered environment. Mentors give back wisdom from their educational experiences, as the recipients gain insight in developing skills to uncover their passion, gifts, and undiscovered talents to further inspire new career choices.

The best part of being involved at Branch To Hope is experiencing the blessings that flow from Surrendering 100% to God, saying YES, showing up and serving others. It’s amazing to watch our community thrive as we all pour into each-other!

Future plans include a 24k SQ Foot Event Center, Regulation football/ multipurpose sports field, Gardens, Cabins/ tiny homes for retreats and camps, 25 meter 6 lane pool, a Wedding Chapel, a teen hangout facility, Sand volleyball court and Sports court.

HOW DID YOU GET TO EAST PARKER COUNTY?
As a military family, we are all too familiar with moving around and living away from ‘home’. My husband and I are both from the Metroplex and had always dreamed of moving back to the area. We never imagined that we would be given the opportunity while serving on Active Duty. But as fate would have it, in 2016 he received ‘surprise’ orders to NAS Fort Worth. We quickly put down roots in Aledo and fell in love with our new hometown.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT EAST PARKER COUNTY?
I love the slower pace, open spaces, and small-town feel of the community.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR BUSINESS, AND HOW DID IT COME TO BE?
Wanting to show support for the local sports team, I set out in search of Aledo Bearcats spirit wear. After several stops in town, I realized that there weren’t many options available that fit my family and our style. I couldn’t help but think ‘Surely, I’m not alone in this.’ I called my husband to discuss my troubles and he responded with ‘you should start a t-shirt company.’ Little did he know, with those 6 words, a seed was planted.

Chef Matteo Clivati was born and raised in Milan, Italy. His passion for food began at a very young age while working in his family’s pastry shop, Pasticceria Clivati. Before moving to San Francisco and then Fort Worth, Chef Clivati worked in notable restaurants such as Nobu and Sadler Ristorante. In Fort Worth, he has worked at Taverna, Piattello, and Wicked Butcher, as well as for Tim Love.

The initial jumping-off point of POP! Fort Worth began as our world was in chaos. While the Covid pandemic struck down many of our local businesses and had others scrambling, there was a dire need to take this dark time and create light. Birthday parties, graduations, and baby showers were all coming to a screeching halt indoors but needed a breath of fresh air — literally – in outdoor spaces. Jessica is now the owner of POP! Fort Worth, which she started with her best friend, who later moved across the country. She has three kids and has been married for over ten years to one pretty cool guy. She was a school counselor before becoming a stay-at-home mom turned balloon boss.

5 things to know about Ms. Jennifer Hannah of Sit Beside, the woman driving the Big Blue bus Sit Beside.

1. She believes good teaching is a creative endeavor, mixing science and art grounded in relationships. She's crafted her practice for 17 years in 3rd-5th grade classrooms and continues to fine-tune it EVERY DAY!

2. She is a fool for knowledge and learning. Learning more about things she already knows or gaining a new perspective on previously held ideas is exciting! She graduates from the University of Houston in the spring with her 2nd master’s degree in Special Education and a Gifted and Talented certification.

3. She adores good coffee!

4. Scotland is her favorite place! It is magical. In 2010, she received a Fulbright Teacher Exchange Grant to live and teach in the Scottish education system for six months. She lived in Crieff, Scotland, at the foothills of the Highland Mountains.

5. She loves road trips and does her best thinking when driving through the middle of nowhere with nothing around.
