"I'm NOT Sexist BUT" - Poster by Deborah Nicole A.


The ugly truth of comments and questions many women are expected to endure and comply with on a regular basis. On this International Woman's Day, engage in conversations regarding the discrimination against the average woman in today's society. Because not only do women NOT have complete equality when it comes to pay and full autonomy of our own bodies- but many of us are still subjected to harmful language that implies we are no more than second class citizens.

As an artist and graphic designer, I want to start using my skills to spread awareness of the ongoing struggles my fellow women face. It's never easy to speak up and often times scary to reveal our beliefs to the world for fear of being rejected. But I know that my silence can be considered as cosigning these toxic behaviors. We should want better for our youth, for both men and women.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my message. And thank you to the wonderful men and women in my life that have made such a positive impact on my life. I know it seems uncommon for me to post about social issues on my social media platforms. But if my art and design can make even the tiniest of change, then I'll be happy with that outcome. We are all human and we all deserve equality. Thank you.
