One wrong step, could be the last step
You can either panic and keep looking down to where you might fall to
Or look up to the bright sun sun shining upon what might come ahead ”

How I (try to!) stay consistent in my studies📒
1️⃣ Planning and Goal setting:
Having a study plan that lists all the topics needing my attention, gives me a glance into the future and an estimation of the time I need to invest in them. Without a rough plan, it’s too much to digest and just leads to procrastination.
2️⃣Taking small bites:
By not cramming everything in one day I tend to absorb the information better. I prefer studying 2-3hrs everyday for the whole year rather than 10hrs/day in the last month.
3️⃣The difficulty scale:
As the most difficult subject will require the most effort and energy, I start with it first. Once i’ve completed the difficult task, it becomes much easier for me to complete the remaining ones. Then whenever I study further, I can say to myself - ‘If I did that, this should be an easy breeze’
4️⃣Routine:
My brain just stops after dinner. It has just become a habit that I tend to complete my studies before dinner or earlier. This keeps me motivated to check off all my tasks for the day because I know for a fact that if it’s not done until dinner, it ain’t happening today!
5️⃣Breaks and Rewards:
Refresh and Recharge. The most important part of staying consistent. Highly underrated, would recommend 10/10.

Here I’m using @notionhq as my Spaced repletion tool so I can recall the material I studied today at automated intervals, without worrying when to revise it next!
For eg. I study a topic today and give it a rating (1-10), let’s say 2. Now notion will show me that this topic is due to revise after 3 days. If I still remember after 3 days, I move on to the next rating i.e 4 and then Notion will show me the topic after 7 days so I can revise.
The algorithm is customisable and I have made it to my needs.
The best part is that it takes out the guesswork in planning revision and makes you revise what is needed based on the rating you give the topic!
Maybe a video tutorial on how to do this? Let me know.
.
Who else used @notionhq and for what?
