MONSTER update coming tomorrow - I’ll be streaming and talking through the changes, 8:30pm Mountain Time!

Training mode is now available in FPP. I definitely support efforts to encourage more equal treatment and promotion of FPP mode!

The Desert Eagle is being added to all maps, and at 62 base damage, it’ll be more powerful than an assault rife. Will be interesting to see if players opt to use it over an AR in certain situations.

“Ledge grabs” will allow us to jump up to objects and positions previously inaccessible - there will be people where we’re not used to seeing them. This is definitely the biggest change to overall gameplay.

Gas cans will now explode when shot, enabling us to setup traps. Should be a lot of fun; although I hope this won’t overly encourage cheap static play.

An armored personnel carrier will now drop when you fire flares outside of the circle (instead of the armored UAZ). Not indestructible, but tougher and amphibious. I’ll bet the perception of invincibility is going to make it a coffin for more than a few players 😉.

The Vector is becoming a 19 round 9mm weapon and the UMP will be a 25 round, (slower) .45 acp weapon. Seems like they’re becoming more balanced, similar weapons, with less distinctive qualities and roles. Will be interesting to play around with them.

Finally, buried in the patch notes it says that the M4A1 is getting a buff (after getting nerfed previously)! Less damage drop off at range, less burst recoil, and the ability to put a stock on it. It’s already a great weapon, and for those who learn to master it, it will yield even more advantages.

Grea stuff here - PC players have had a lot of this for a while now, so it’s exciting to get these changes on mobile. Look forward to playing around tomorrow! Join me on the stream at 8:30pm Mountain!
