LISTEN: Despite having limited time for training, the Manila Science High School English Radio Scriptwriting and Broadcasting Team PLACED IN BOTH INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP AWARDS and took home the 2nd BEST OVERALL RADIO PRODUCTION in the 2023 Manila Division Schools Press Conference in Manuel A. Roxas High School.
Listen to their winning broadcast below:
Along with the threats to those in the media comes the red tagging—a tool that has effectively silenced critics, making a hostile environment not only for journalists, but also for all vocal citizens. As the primary sources of information, journalism and the press are the frontliners of democracy. Threatening to silence such does not fall far from entirely putting the country under another dictatorship. (Mallorca, 2020, p. 4)
As we celebrate World Press Freedom Day today, may we never cease to write in the service of truth.

Women can...and women will!
The Nucleus joins the world in honoring the accomplishments of women, and fighting for women's rights.
The commemoration of the International Women's Day dates back on March 8, 1917 when women were granted the vote in Soviet Russia, and it has since been observed with the purpose of bringing attention to persisting problems with gender equality and women's rights.
May we remember the women who proved that they are capable of taking charge of their own lives and being the proprietors of their own decisions, despite being hindered by harassment, violence, biases and stereotypes. Let us honor them by speaking up about inequality and promoting change.
Encourage the word “No.”
- “No to Gender Inequality"
- “No to Workplace Inequality”
- “No to Leadership Belittlement”
