All week at 0845 we'll be hearing about how the 1st Btn NI Cadets got on during their summer camp up at Magilligan. From the cadets to the adult volunteers - these are a bunch of passionate people with fire in their belly. What an incredible organisation. Thanks for inviting me along.

I had such a great day with the Cadets up at Magilligan today. Almost 200 cadets are spending 2 weeks at Summer Camp. They were all absolute legends…especially the poor guy whose face connected with my hand at speed 🤦🏻‍♀️.

The launch of a new programme aimed at helping Veterans and their families took place over the weekend. Connections: Operation Link Life is a su***de prevention awareness programme and aimed at our Veteran Community. It was such an honour to be there as an ambassador to champion the programme.
A highlight was hearing Sally Orange. She’s an absolute legend and runs marathons across the world dressed as a piece of fruit with the aim of opening up conversations about mental health

I got to hang out with the good and the great of 2 Royal Irish at the weekend up at Magilligan Training Centre for the Cpl Stuart Hamilton Section Skills Competition. Well done to C Coy who were victorious and awarded the trophy.

Was it a tent in 50 degree heat in Afghan or Iraq?
