Life updates: Still at a standstill. The most going out I do is hanging the laundry at my veranda and going to the supermarket or the chiro. Honestly, I’m still not feeling the best right now, but at least I’ve learned to love and be content with what I have - especially myself.
Last episode, we were asked for tips on self-love! Honestly, it was hard giving an answer especially because of the Pandemic. But, we thought it would be a good topic for our growth as well.
We reflected on our failures and how we were able to grow from it. As we’ve said countless times, life abroad is hard. No matter how successful it may seem, it’s a chock load full of failures as well. Despite this, how did we learn to love ourselves? We focused on this as we tackled the question. On Ep 16 we talk about our culture shocks at work. Jeri had a hard time with lunch at work but now she usually has lunch by the pier when the weather is nice. In the mornings it's 3° degrees but in the afternoon it's a nice and sunny 18°.
Most of the time she eats what's left over from yesterday's dinner but today she decided to buy a Chicken pesto wrap in one of the stores.
Today is special because her husband decided to visit her in the city while he studies for his course. 💖
