Change the way you think about your serve👇

Your serve is so much more than just the beginning of a new point! Think of it as a strategic shot that can give you an advantage over your opponent.

Your serve is the only shot in the game that you have complete control over, and it’s also one that you’re nearly always guaranteed to hit every single game. Here’s a few techniques to help you enhance your serves:

- Glance at your opponent before your serve so you know where they are positioned. This way you can strategically aim your serve to a location that makes it difficult for your opponent to return.

- Keep a controlled backswing. Move your arm back slowly and not too far behind your body, positioning your paddle properly for a powerful swing forward. This will give you more control over your serve.

- Generate more power on your serve by loading your weight on your back leg with your knees bent. As you swing forward, push off your back leg and carry that momentum through your shot.

- After you serve, make sure that you’re positioned a step or two behind the baseline. This way you won’t get caught off guard with a deep return from your opponent.

Here's how it works:1️⃣ One player stays at the kitchen line (no movement!).2️⃣ The other player moves:Start with a down-the-line d**k.- Your partner responds with a shot to the middle.- Shuffle over, return it, and they send a ball crosscourt.- Move over, hit a crosscourt d**k back, and repeat the cycle!Pro tips to perfect the drill:Hit lift d**ks when aiming down the line. The net is higher here, so focus on adding net clearance for shallow kitchen landings—harder for opponents to attack.Hit push d**ks on crosscourt shots for a controlled, intentional placement. Why this works: Beginners often pop d**ks up when moving. This drill helps you stay controlled while sharpening your footwork and accuracy.🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!

Here’s the game-changing approach to make those tricky low balls way more manageable:1️⃣ Short Hop for Control – Instead of battling a fast, spinning ball right out of the air, let it bounce! A short hop reduces the speed and spin, giving you more control and a safer shot. The ball hits the ground, then your paddle—giving you a split second to breathe and react!2️⃣ Step Back for an Easier Shot – If you’ve got a moment, step back and let the ball rise to its peak after bouncing. This is the ultimate sweet spot for a calm, controlled shot, with minimal spin and reduced speed. When the ball peaks, it’s your blank canvas—place it exactly where you want.Next time you’re on the court, try using these tips to handle those tough positions with ease!🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!

Keep your paddle low and ready, so you only need a small move to defend. If they hit it above your paddle, it’ll likely go out—but if it’s a high bounce near the kitchen, that’s your chance! From this low position, you'll have plenty of time to rise and make a strong return. The worst position? Standing straight up! If they hit low, dropping quickly to reach the ball will lead to weak contact. Your first shot doesn’t need to be perfect—just get it over the net. This is a tough spot, so focus on defense: aim high, stay in the rally, and work your way back into control!🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!

You'll need three targets (tape works great), spaced however you'd like, but remember—the further apart, the harder the drill! Here’s the breakdown:1️⃣ Figure 8 pattern: Start with a shot down the line to one of the outside targets, then push the next shot cross-court, aiming for the middle target. Lastly, aim for the third target, and then move back the way you came, continuing to aim at each target.2️⃣ Key Tips:Shuffle your feet: Keep your footwork sharp by shuffling side-to-side. Avoid crossing your feet over each other too much. If you do, snap back to ready position quickly.Minimal wrist: Try to control the ball without excessive wrist movement to improve consistency. This drill not only sharpens your accuracy but helps build that smooth, controlled movement to up your d**k game!🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!

Hit the ball into the wall, and as it comes back, aim for a smooth third shot drop. The key? Ensure the ball peaks on your side of the court, then lands in the target zone.2️⃣ The wall is your net! Even if the ball goes a little high, as long as it's descending when it hits the wall, you're on the right track.3️⃣ Lock that wrist! Your paddle controls the ball's direction—so lock your wrist to guarantee the right angle.4️⃣ Finish over your dominant shoulder. For a right-handed player, this means finishing over your right shoulder for a clean topspin shot. If you finish to the side, you risk adding unwanted sidespin.Practice these tips to improve consistency and control!🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!

Most players use a continental grip, making their body weaker on one side. Here’s the secret: aim your drives at their right rib or hip area! By targeting this zone with your drives, you'll get weaker returns and dominate the point. Here’s a drill to nail your aim: 1️⃣ Stand 10 ft from the wall. 2️⃣ Hit the ball into the wall. 3️⃣ As it comes back, aim your drive at one of your pre-placed targets.PRO TIP: Watch the ball all the way through contact! A lot of players glance away at the moment of impact—don’t be that player. Stay locked in for stronger, more consistent drives.🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!

How to reset from anywhere on the court👇

Most players are too focused on executing the perfect drop that they miss out on other crucial techniques that’ll help them win the point. In reality, a perfect drop is one you can hit consistently every time. Hit your drops high and soft to give yourself time to transition from defense to offense. Here’s why:

- Hitting high = The ball won’t go straight into the net and you’ll be more consistent.

- Hitting softly = You’ll slow the ball down, giving you more time to prepare for the next shot, and you’ll prevent it from landing too deep in your opponent’s kitchen, which makes it easy to attack.

But here’s the crucial factor: you need to master the art of resetting the ball. Even the pros don’t hit perfect drops. It’s rare that they hit the perfect drop that’ll allow them to move all the way to the kitchen off that one shot. The reason this works is because they can hit resets from anywhere on the court. They might hit a higher drop, move a couple steps forward, then pause to respond to their opponent’s next shot. They’ll continue to hit resets as they move forward, and once they make it to the kitchen, they can start attacking.

For this to work well, focus on staying low and resetting the ball. Don’t try to overcomplicate things - you’re essentially rebounding the ball into the opposite kitchen to keep moving forward and that’s it. Make sure your body is lowered and your weight evenly distributed so you can easily move anywhere you need to get to the ball.

When you make contact with the ball, use a small, controlled motion with your arms and keep a firm grip on your paddle. A loose grip makes you lose control over your shots, so keep a strong grip and you can place the ball exactly where you need for a smooth transition forward.

It’s all about hitting those speed-ups and resetting the ball softly over the mock net into the kitchen.Pro Tip: Start slow—speed up, reset, catch the ball, and repeat. As you improve, you can ramp it up with a speed-up, reset rhythm! Here are 2 ways to control your resets better:1️⃣ Paddle Face Position: Keep your paddle angled slightly toward the sky—don't point it flat! The ball will follow where your paddle surface faces, so aim carefully.2️⃣ Minimal Follow-Through: Keep it simple! Too much follow-through can make your shots go wild. Loosen that grip and keep the motion small for precise resets!🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!

Here's how to perfect your targeting:1️⃣ Grab two pieces of tape. 2️⃣ Place one at hip height on the wall (right side), and the other at shoulder height (left side). These marks represent your opponent's weak spots! The right shoulder is tough for most players using a continental grip, while the left hip is tricky if they’re shading to the right. Now, there are two ways to practice:Option 1: Drop the ball and lightly speed up to one of your targets. Key here—keep it controlled. Option 2: Speed up against the wall, let it bounce, and continue speeding up.Pro tip: Keep your paddle tip down to maintain accuracy and control!🚨DISCOUNTS FOR YOU🚨 Comment “discounts” (no quotation marks) on this post to receive a DM with all my coupon codes to save money on paddles and other pickleball purchases!
