A head-on collision involving a bike, an e-rickshaw, and an Alto car occurred in front of Bhairabari on Silchar Road, Karimganj, gravely injuring four people. On Wednesday, a bike coming from the opposite direction crashed head-on with an Alto car travelling from Karimganj to Silchar. Then the vehicle struck the e-rickshaw that was parked at the side of the road. 3 passengers were hurt as a result, including the bike rider and the e-rickshaw driver.

Following the tragedy, locals saved them and sent them to Karimganj Government Hospital. Later the doctors referred the bike rider to SMCH since his injuries were severe.

Fierce fire broke out in a truck due to gas stove explosion in Kathal Road, Silchar

On Friday, a truck that was parked on the side of the road on Silchar Kanthal Road caught fire. In a flash, the truck was ablaze. The co-driver and the driver were cooking at the time inside the truck, which was parked on the side of the road. The stove explodes unexpectedly while cooking and it caused a fire.

The fire brigade was alerted by locals who saw the incident. As fire brigade arrived, they put out the fire. Fortunately, the explosion didn't hurt the driver and his co driver.

RPF official's prompt action saves woman's life in Guwahati

A female passenger's life was saved by RPF ASI Nirmal Chandra Baishya on Thursday at the Kamakhya Railway Station in Guwahati. Baishya sprang into action and dragged her to safety as she was about to fall beneath the moving train shown in a CCTV footage.

The lady and her daughter got onto the wrong train and tried to deboard it instantly, but the mother jumped off and the daughter pulled the alarm chain and deboarded the train.
