WHAT IS UK BLU-RAY? - UK Blu-ray is a project to establish on leading social media platforms a dedicated platform for UK Blu-ray media. An enterprise not for personal gain, or any profit. Simply an endeavour for the love of UK Blu-ray media, and wishing to see it better represented on the internet, and volunteering ourselves for that cause.
While the UK home video market has arguably grown into the best in the world thanks to Blu-ray media over the last twenty years, that has never resulted in a successful dedicated website for UK Blu-ray media.
The majority of home video websites are mainly focused on the US market, with very few regularly reviewing UK Blu-ray media releases.
While the time probably passed several years ago when such a website was viable, however, through Facebook and Twitter. The lack of coverage and content for UK Blu-ray media we believe can be addressed
WHAT KIND OF CONTENT? - While we will be posting UK Blu-ray media news, the main objective of the UK Blu-ray project is increasing reviews of UK Blu-ray media products, and the number of people reviewing them. Particularly what we wish to see is more people in the British Isles writing reviews.
In building a platform and an audience on leading social media platforms, writers can safely establish small websites for themselves by knowing here at UK Blu-ray we will always post the links to their content. All while the writers have complete independence in how they choose to go about their business. We just post the links, that's it.
ANY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS YOU'RE GOING TO BE ON? - For now it's just Facebook and Twitter. We are only run by one person for now, and it's a lot for them juggling just two platforms. They are also not a fan of Instagram, as it simply doesn't work for what UK Blu-ray wants to achieve.
They are though looking at a Discord server should indeed UK Blu-ray be a success. A forum could happen, but previous endeavours with forums proved to be an utter failure.
