Congratulations to recently promoted Echo Company commander Cpt. Seth Hart. Col. Kent Solheim had the privilege of swearing in the Eagle commander. Cpt. Hart’s wife Elyse and son Brody had the honor of promoting him.
Cpt. Hart is an experienced prior service member who has deployed numerous times to Europe and the Middle East. He is a trusted leader and confidant among the Roadrunners.

Fort Jackson is currently conducting E3B consisting of the Expert Infantryman Badge, Expert Soldier Badge, and the Expert Field Medic Badge. E3B, provides soldiers a chance to prove their physical fitness and mastery of critical tasks.
Soldiers participating in E3B undergo intense training and testing. Earning one of these three badges distinguishes a soldier from their peers.
Over the next two weeks we will be showcasing the train up and testing phases of the E3B.

Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta & Echo companies conducted their second FTX.
The hammer and anvil is a military tactic involving the use of two primary forces, one to pin down an enemy, and the other to smash or defeat the opponent with an encirclement maneuver. It may involve a frontal assault by one part of the force, playing a slower-moving or more static role.
Combat Development: Learn hand-to-hand training and how to prioritize multiple targets.

Hardcore Family !! We hope you enjoyed your time with your Soldiers during Family Day today and are excited to see them all graduate tomorrow.

16/03/2023

Hardcore family; today is officially “Family Day”!! During Family Day, our Soldiers will have the opportunity to walk around Post and explore all it has to offer. On Fort Jackson, we have a Starbucks, a Burger King, and a Charleys Philly Steaks just to name a few (all of which they are able to eat at for the first time since arriving). Soldiers are not allowed to walk and talk on their phones at the same time (not just here at Fort Jackson, that is an Army-wide policy).
Prior to picking up your Soldier families will be given a brief by the Battalion Commander and Battalion Command Sergeant Major. In this brief you will be told what you can and cannot do with your Soldier while on Fort Jackson, as well as, where you can and cannot go. You will also be briefed the time that the Soldiers need to be back for final formation.
Today’s Recondo Report is titled, “Hurry-up and wait”. If you have not heard your Soldier use the phrase, we are confident you will soon. Before moving on to AIT we wanted to make sure you had perspective regarding schedules and military life. Change is a constant in military life. So, whether it is the return date from a deployment or when your Soldier will receive orders, be prepared for schedules to change and remember Operational Security (never post dates of movement or numbers of Soldiers involved online.)

Hardcore family! Our goal with, “Recondo Report” was to provide you with daily informational posts. Do you feel better prepared for Army life? Which post(s) was most helpful? What questions do you still have? We will pick up a new class in a few weeks and we know the new Families coming after you will appreciate your input. Thank you in advance.

Hardcore family! As graduation quickly approaches, thank you for your feedback and for joining us on the journey from civilian to Soldier. There are over 60 different locations that Soldiers may ship to for the Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Every unit has a different commander and its own command climate that will determine the frequency of communication on social media. So, do not be surprised if information is not provided daily. Know that “no news is good news.” Many AIT units allow Soldiers more access to their phones; so, it is possible you may have more contact with your Soldier. Just like your Soldier we know you are ready for this next phase of Army Life.
