Level 2 is just around the corner, we’re hard at work putting the venue back together and looking at how to safely implement Level 2 in a wine cellar context. There will be shows but perhaps not as you know them.

So many other venues are not going to be able to do this given their size and overheads. This brings us to the campaigns and particularly the one which has reached the final stretch.

The support that has been shown has been overwhelming and it has been incredible to see the hard work so many including but not limited to reb Reuben Tom Matthew Lulu have put into this, including building the whole Save Our Venues NZ movement and co ordinating the support that has come from so many corners of the music & event world.

But as we reach the end of our campaign we still do need your support if you are in a position to help. The existence of the whammy and wine cellar is in your hands.

Update from our mates Swallow the Rat

Update: New Orleans tonight is cancelled, along with all our shows in Texas. We just drove for 24 hours straight, crossing 8 states to get back to Austin. Felt like something bad was chasing us. All the venues here have closed. We're booking new flights and aim to be back in NZ by the weekend. xStR

Welp. What to even say about making it into the NZ Listener in Best Sounds of 2019 except for right now I look like Nelson when he's listening to Moon River, and by that I mean I'm wholesome and teary.
