The Palm Bay Police Department is announcing the arrest of Christopher Michalak. On January 16, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Michalak, the manager of Oceanside Cabinets, was arrested for multiple felony charges related to fraudulent crimes.

Michalak victimized ten individuals in the City of Palm Bay by falsely promising to complete cabinetry work and pre-collecting payments for these services. Instead of fulfilling his obligations, he diverted the funds, totaling approximately $112,000 for his personal use.

Palm Bay Police's General Crimes Unit has worked over the past few months to investigate these incidents and ensure justice for the victims. As a result of their investigative efforts and collaboration with the Brevard County State Attorney’s Office, Michalak now faces the following charges:

· Scheme to Defraud
· Grand Theft from a Person Over 65
· Grand Theft
· Communications Fraud
