🍂 Embracing Equinox: Ancient Roots & Global Celebrations 🌍

As autumn paints the world in warm hues, we approach the Autumn Equinox, or , a modern term for an age-old phenomenon. While Mabon might not be ancient, the equinox's significance spans cultures worldwide.

🌗 **Balance in the Equinox**: The equinox, a celestial event, heralds a moment of perfect equilibrium between light and dark. It's a cosmic dance mirrored by nature's transition from summer's vibrancy to autumn's warm earth tones.

🌾 **Harvest of Gratitude**: In the West, the equinox brings , a time of thanksgiving for the bounties of the land.

🌍 **African Perspectives**: In diverse African cultures, the equinox varies in significance. Some regions mark it as the onset of the dry season. Nigeria's , though not strictly an equinox event, celebrates the yam harvest, showing the deep connection between seasons and cultural festivities.

🇳🇬 **Nigeria's Yam Festival**: , the New Yam Festival, is a jubilant occasion in Nigeria. It honors the yam, the "king of crops," with feasting, music, and dance. While not equinox-specific, it highlights importance and intertwining of agriculture and culture in Continental Africa.

🌿 **Global Unity**: The Autumn Equinox, whether called Mabon or celebrated across Africa, underscores humanity's ties to nature's rhythms. It's a time to pause, reflect, and give thanks for Earth's abundance. Let's cherish our shared connection to the changing seasons. 🌻🌎

Hey! I’m Nicola, one half of 🌿

We’ve been getting loads of content ready for you all, lots of witchy tips, life lessons and bare jokes (as per usual!😜)

As it’s getting to the dark side of the year, I’m really feeling the urge to slow down, start to nest and reset in order to walk into 2023 in a good way. Have you thought about what you want your next year to look like? It’s never too early to get journaling and manifesting the beauty you want in your life. Follow YOUR flow and listen to your body, what do YOU want to bring forth? What is your soul saying you need for your relationships, home, career, spiritual growth?

This week we won’t be releasing an episode! I know 😩
But don’t be too disheartened! Next week we will be back with an amazing interview with exploring his work on making space for people to come back to African traditional practices, and his experience of being of mixed heritage and working with his medicine from both Ghana and Japan.
And the week after that we will be blowing your minds with all the human design info from the expert .on.purpose

Watch this space, stay tuned and get in touch!
