Changing your life doesn't always need to involve massive, difficult changes. I believe implementing small habits, that you repeat on a regular basis can make a huge change. In this video my sister Hadia and I share 10 simple habits that we started during lockdown, which have bettered our lives in many ways. These are linked to mindset, health and improving our overall wellbeing. I intend to vary/add new habits every few months, by looking at areas in my life that I feel I want to improve. I hope this video is helpful and might push you to create your own new habits.

Episode 3: Does The World Have Enough Empathy?

We all have our own view of reality, we have our own perspective of the world, our own views and opinions. We often fail to recognise how other people view the world, other’s situations, their struggles, their hardships and their experiences. Perhaps if we start to take into account their perspectives it will enable us to better understand others, relate, build bridges and benefit society.

I am discussing the importance of empathy with two of my good friends Faisal and Osama.

I know this is a very tough time for everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with those that are suffering or have lost loved ones. This is by no means a way of undermining the severity of the situation.

I feel this is a massively humbling experience for us as a society, it shows us all the basic “privileges” in life which we once took for granted, our reliance on the system and the way that we can plan so much, but ultimately God plans. I wanted to try and share some positivity during this difficult time. I feel it can be a time for us to come together, to learn more about ourselves, to grow as people and appreciate what is truly important, if we use it wisely.

I thought it might be nice for my family and I to share some of our experiences and ideas that have kept us busy during lock down. Please use this time to appreciate what we have and enjoy the small things.

A massive thanks to all the key workers that are risking their lives and sacrificing time from their loved ones to save lives and ensure we are kept safe.
