A well-crafted rebuttal to the somewhat boiler-plate think pieces disparaging the growing push to continue remote work after the pandemic. - EIC

As if to terrorize me as I have my morning coffee, CNBC put out a piece about how “young employees are losing out ‘on a lot’ by not going to the office.” It is almost as if they read my work and thought, “how many of the tropes Ed is discussing can we cram into an article?”

It’s truly hard to believe that it has already been 20 years. While there were without a doubt issues among we American citizens after 9/11/01, they are sadly nothing compared to what we face today. We have fallen so far from the hopeful ideal that this country should be. Today I am hopeful t

It's important that we remember that there is no such thing as "fake news". It's either news or A LIE.

Satire and parody sites label themselves as such somewhere within their content. These are meant to amuse or mock.

Misrepresentation of the facts for fear or to sway your political viewpoints is not "fake", it's CONTROL intended to deceive!

Lock Him Up: Trump's White House Is Using a Private Email Server

Completely unsurprising and expected hypocrisy. Absolutely shameful.

-EIC

Newsweek has learned that senior staffers in the Trump administration are using a private RNC email server. This is the same private email server used by the Bush administration that claimed it lost 22 million emails.

We live in a country that has people that believe there's a flat Earth because we live in a society that allows the standard that all ideas and thoughts have equal value and should be treated with equal weight, that calling out blatant ignorance is an attack on someone's personal rights to believe what they want, and that everyone is entitled to their own facts, not just their own opinions. We live in a culture where everything has a bottom line and no one wants to lose sponsors over something so trivial as integrity or the truth. Ignorance gets cheers because the ignorant can't stomach the idea that someone may know more than they do so they belittle the studied and thoughtful as being elitists. Conspiracy theories are respected as truth and scientific fact is treated like a grand conspiracy. Flat earthers exist because of a perfect sh*tstorm of fear, ignorance and complacency. It's as sad, scary, and simple as that. -BJL

As I sit here listing to Rick Scott I can't help but wonder where he intends on getting a billion dollars to cover his proposed tax break. We are already a state that doesn't have state taxes. Cutting taxes on manufacturers? Why shouldn't they have to pay for the use of public resources for profit? If Rick Scott really wanted to help regular people with jobs he would provide state assistance to cover federal social security and Medicare taxes for self employed people and small businesses that profit under a set amount and not give tax breaks to multi million dollar companies that wind up employing a finite number of people. -BJL

Russia Declares Warplane Downing A "Hostile Act" But Will It Cut Turkish Gas Supplies? | Zero Hedge

I've received heat in the past when I suggested that there was evidence of a building world war. I am just going to point and nod as this continues. The article below is well written and exceptionally worth the read. Geopolitics broken down a bit.- V.T.

"Russia Declares Warplane Downing A "Hostile Act" But Will It Cut Turkish Gas Supplies?"
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-11-24/russia-declares-warplane-downing-hostile-act-will-it-cut-turkish-gas-supplies

Some have suggested Vladmir Putin's first retaliation for the Turkish shooting down of a Russian fighter jet would be to cut off gas supplies (which represent 57% of Turkey's supply). With Russia Defense Minister stating that the "downing of the Russian warplane is a 'hostile act'," adding that the…

I have seen in the days since the Paris terrorist attacks some claiming that Donald Trump's idea of a wall and closing the borders of the US "doesn't seem so odd after all".

As we try to do with all of our comments here, lets look at this factually and honestly. Paris didn't close their borders after the attack to keep people out.

No, the borders were closed to keep people IN. Specifically this is done after a situations such as this so the perpetrators can't escape the country and can be sought out and apprehended by law enforcement.

So when you hear people trying to spin this idea as valid remind them that of this. Look across the world at every country that enforces extreme border laws. They are used predominantly to keep citizens in rather than to keep enemies out.

Ask yourselves and others. Is that how we want to model ourselves? Do you really want a wall? Because if you do you aren't really paying attention to history or current events. That wall would inevitably be used to subjugate rather than protect.

CNBC's Republican Primary Debate was Extremely Substantive

A very good write-up on how the questions at the CNBC debate were not only valid but also relevant to the interests of the American electorate.

These Republican candidates seem to think a debate is a place where they can each take turns making stump speeches.

This is NOT the purpose of a debate. A debate where they should be answering legitimate questions such as these.

Republicans are just mad because they are unruly and their policies are nuts.
