This Is A Briggs Intek 21 Horse That Developed A Drinking Problem ( Burning Oil All Of A Sudden ) . These Engines Have A Problem With Blown Head Gaskets. This "Pressurizes" Crankcase Which In Turn Pushes Oil Into Air Intake. This Causes The Oil Burning .

Be careful when using a snow blower:

☃️ Clear jams with a broom handle or stick, even if the engine is turned off. Never use your hands!
❄️ Never run the engine in an enclosed space
🏂 Keep children and pets away from the chute
🏔️ Watch out for debris

A good idea for snow season is periodly start the snowblower , and let it run awhile ( 20-25 minutes) every 2 weeks or so . This keeps everything lubricated & helps keep fuel system clean as well . This also applies to warm weather equipment as well , but much less critical

Another one saved from a certain death at the landfill. This sat unused indefinitely. After a fuel system service she's alive & well. A true testament to how they were made back then.

I love the old stuff , as this one is a testament to how they were built 30 years ago. This one sat unused for at least 10-15 years. After a complete fuel system service she starts , runs & cuts great . Doesn't burn oil either . An oldie , but a goodie .
