Nigerian Foreign Minister Geoffrey Onyeama met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington today. The two leaders discussed the US travel ban which prevents Nigerians from getting visas that would allow them to live in the US permanently. The Trump administration said Nigeria did not do a good enough job of sharing information about its citizens. Pompeo believes the travel ban will be lifted soon but gave no time table as to when that would happen. Myanmar, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Sudan and Tanzania were also included in Trump’s latest ban. The Trump administration says the ban is being implemented to prevent terrorists from entering the country but lots of critics believe the administration is targeting countries where majority of its citizens are Muslim. What do you think?

He became President after Jomo Kenyatta passed away. As with many politicians worldwide, Moi experienced an up and down relationship with Kenyan voters but continued to be a major force of influence in the country all the way up to his death. Moi leaves seven children and a legacy of edifices named after him.
