To All Interested Students:

Join the The Bangui Star and the Ang Banaag, Student Publications of Bangui National High School, now!

We are looking for editors, news writers, feature writers, sports writers, literary writers, cartoonists and webmasters!

Join the The Bangui Star and the Ang Banaag by taking the ONLINE editorial board and staffwriters' examination on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 5-6).

The 2-day online exams would be accessible through a link to be posted here and in your class GCs.

You may keep in touch with Mrs. Kathleen Fandag for the The Bangui Star (English publication) and Mr. Ronald Marcos for the Ang Banaag (Filipino publication) through their Messenger accounts.

Upang makapagsimula at pormal nang mailunsad ang website ng The Bangui Star / Ang Banaag, inihahanda na ngayon ng mga tagapayo ang isang pagsusulit sa Ingles (para sa The Bangui Star) at Filipino (para sa Ang Banaag) para sa mga mag-aaral na may kakayahan at interes na magsulat at sumapi sa pamatnugotan ng dalawang online na publikasiyon.

Para sa karagdagang detalye sa mga interesado, maaring sumangguni kay Gng. Kathleen E. Fandag para sa Ingles at kay G. Ronald M. Marcos para sa Filipino sa kanikanilang Messenger accounts.

Languages department launches school reading program

In alliance with the reading program of the DepEd-Regional Office I, Bangui NHS also launched its school-based reading program, Jan. 11.

Dubbed as Roving Reading Center under the M.A.G.B.A.S.A Project, the Reading, Languages & Literatures, and Journalism group brought reading and functional literacy assessment materials to target Grade 7 students of barangays San Lorenzo and Abaca in Bangui and Barangays Aggasi, Tarrag and Dampig of Pagudpud.

Recommendations were given to students and their parents. Follow up sessions would be conducted in the future to assess reading difficulties and progress.

Head teachers debut new office facility

After some delays, the head teachers office started under the watch of Mr. Romeo Villorente, school principal IV, has finally saw completion.

As of this writing, Mr. Heri Bert Pascua, HT-3 and Mr. Gerardo "Geri" Baltazar, Jr., HT-3, are now occupying the office which is another annex of the school faculty room.

For sometime now, the head teachers have been staying at the faculty room because of the dearth of office space. Now, they have finally a place to work under privacy to plan and direct academic affairs of their respective areas.

School establishes isolation facility

In preparation for a possible resumption of in-site classes whenever it would be possible, Bangui NHS has recently completed construction of an isolation facility.

Also repaired in the process is the school guardhouse.

Meanwhile, foot traffic signages are also being done on school hallways, paths and catwalks. #

In a bid to continue campus journalism despite the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, Bangui National High School will launch this official page together with a paid website.

Campus journalists and campus paper advisers standby for some developments on this.
