Sometimes we “think” it is hard to be generous because we have NOTHING to give, which is WRONG. For some reason, we ALWAYS take generosity to mean in practice, is that we should give MONEY.

Every person has SOMETHING OF VALUE to give and we ALWAYS have the OPPORTUNITY to be generous to others, regardless of financial resources. There are plenty of ways to be charitable without dipping into our bank account. We can donate extra belongings, we can give our time by volunteering, we can do other things…like making meals, babysit, etc. or I guess to simply just be there!

We are ABLE to do this because of WHO OUR GOD is and for that we should be grateful!

4th series of ”Christmas at the Movies.” We contemplated on the story of Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, Hermey the elf and Yukon Cornelius who thought of themselves as a bunch of misfits, outsiders, and different. In the end, they all realized the significance of their life when they saved Christmas!

In our life’s journey and to some degree we can all resonate in their story. We all know how it feels like being rejected and at some point experienced feeling like we don’t “belong, a nobody, or not good enough.”

Successful or not, I’m sure we are familiar with this kind of sentiments, I doubt one is exempted.

But here’s the good news, “God sees us in a different lens, not how others sees us or how we see ourselves. God makes Nobodies, Somebodies!”

On the first Christmas, God used a bunch of ancient misfits, the Shepherds (societally, they were outcasts), but God used them as the bearer of good news of Jesus birth!

Isn’t that amazing? All God’s angels appeared on a bunch of shepherds and they were the first group of people who was invited to come into His Presence, the first close encounter of a God made man!

“Hi! My name is Guna. Quick background story about me:

I grew up in a small town in Latvia. We didn’t have much growing up so I started to work at age of 13 to pay for my own clothes and school supplies. I’m the oldest out of 4 sisters.
I became an orphan at age of 17, dropped out of college at age of 20, because I wasn’t able to pay for my living and went off working different jobs. In 2007 I moved to Ireland to look for work and plan was to go back to Latvia once I have saved up some money… but I never left. Ireland has been my home for 14 years now and both my daughters were born here.

1. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿?
I started this business in March 2021, so less than a year ago

2. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿?
I love my job but with two little girls growing fast, I needed extra income to be able to support them and start saving for their college fees. And also, we can take more holidays as a family.

3. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀?
I have learned so much in the past year. The biggest lesson though has been- be patient. Nothing is built in a day!

Since I had no previous experience of any kind of digital work and I knew very little about social media, I wasn’t sure can I do it. But our step by step video training guided me through smoothly so I got to learn everything I needed in my own time.

5. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀?
Definitely the community. I have met so many amazing people from all around the world without actually physically meeting them. I have a family in this business who supports me and I support them and no one is ever alone in their struggles, being personal or business related.

6.𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹?
If you have doubts, take a deep breath and see what you feel. Our intuition has a magical power to tell us whether something is for us or not. Before I jumped in to this business, I explored a lot of different things-stock markets, cryptocurrency and selling stuff online, but none of it felt right fit for me. But after watching our webinar, I knew right away- this is for me.”

3rd series of “Christmas at the Movies,” we looked at the story of the “Grinch.” The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous spirit.

There’s a “grinch” in all of us, and no one quite knows the reason for our grudge except ourselves. It all stems from a broken heart, things from the past that’s slowly taking roots and destroying our relationships in the present.

The good news is, there is a generous God who continues to pursue and love us…we just need to open our hearts and receive Him in our lives.
