That time right after we got back from the Netherlands. It was a perfect 18-somethin'-degree-weather. I wanted to grab a cup of coffee and eat cake by that cute cafe by the lake. We rode our bikes and along the bike route we saw 'em golden canola fields. Luck was on my side because I knew I had to bring my camera. Of course, we stopped by and enjoyed the blissful beauty presented to us.

It was another first. A core memory of what we hope to be more of this amazing life.

APRIL 18, 2023: AMSTERDAM CITY

It was another Spring Day. But that day was special because we went out our way to head out and experience Amsterdam. Well...it wasn't just Amsterdam but that's for another post. As per Ken's request we traveled by train. It's more chill and world-friendly at that.

We arrived roughly around in the afternoon and decided to check out the city and take some photos for me to posts. These photos dusted away in my archives. Until today! So, excuse the late post and the random urge to suddenly share.

11th of June
A SUMMER DAY IN GERMANY

Beep...Beep...That annoying noise from my phone's alarm went on and on. The bed was extravagantly seducing me to stay, but today was the day! It's been days since I was adamantly considering cycling 20km all the way to the barn hotel that serves amazing food. I looked at the clock, it was 6:30 in the morning. I put on my vintage outfit for the day. It looks best with Millie! Right...Millie is what I fancy calling my one-gear-bike. She's cute. My husband owns an electric bike that pushes his weight forward. I on the other hand, managed to carry my weight 20km to said hotel to gain more weight on my way back the next day.

We stopped-by at an Asian Restaurant. And yes...it was good. We then proceeded to cycle all the way for the next 45 Minutes under the scourging 28-Degree Sun, not to mention the hilly inclinations I needed to survive. But at the end of this adventure was a very rustic barn hotel. It was cozy and welcoming. The air was crisp and fresh. The farm animals were all friendly and the hotel and restaurant staff were so accommodating and kind.

Oh yeah...the food! The cocktails at happy hour were a good foreplay to an amazing supper. But the climax of this short story was definitely the fresh farm-to-table-dinner. Like our bill thereafter, it was exquisite. The rest of the evening was simply pure bliss and magic. The sound nature was all too soothing. It was a good one. One for the books of the next many memories from the HOUSE of DIZON.
