This is ALWAYS an argument I heard against homeschooling.

I went to public school and got the free spirit bullied out of me! I didn’t make eye contact with people for years after I graduated, couldn’t initiate conversations, or hold friendships.

It’s taken 12 years to finally relearn health socialization skills after 12 years of damage in public schooling.

When we started our homeschooling journey I was nervous about how I would teach math, I wasn’t the best at it and wasn’t sure I would be able to make it make sense. Over the years we’ve tried so many different things but study.com has become my FAVORITE!!

Not only is it thurough but it’s self led to keep her on her own pace! We started it at 3rd grade for my girl but even my son is interested with it and learning along side her!

Its wasnt until the 1930s that kids grade K-12 began attending school on a consistent basis and the orgins of public schooling in the states is highly controversial (read Free to Learn) but many people believe that this was “always the way it was”. Education wasnt for the betterment of society, it was for control of common knowledge. Initally we began topping the charts for education as a country but have quickly seen that plummeting with many adults stuck at a 7th grade reading level (seriously! Look it up). We inherently know that the education system is not good for children and give us no advantage in the real world so we do we keep playing into the madness?? #howtohomeschool #homeschool #homeschooling #homeschoolers
