To you Kenneth Norman Cook, who was a part of me for ten years. You left August 5th, 2022 this Earth we shared and laughed about and cried over. You were my BEST FRIEND, and my WILDFIRE PUBLICATIONS partner in crime. You were my buffer against this cruel world. Now you protect me from the realms of the Afterlife.

I shall see you soon enough. I promise to keep writing. The sorrow is getting better the closer I get to dying myself, knowing you and C.D. will be there to meet me at the pearly gates, either before or after my animals I haven’t seen in a while knock me down. Knock all of us down.

Miss you both. How lucky I was to have known you both.

I dedicate this book to you Ken ~ I remember coming to you and asking, is this title ok? And you approved. Because I always sought your opinions.

Kay is the mother of Prolific Poet Author Robert Bradley! Talent must run in the Bradley gene pool as you shall soon discover!

Delightful poems of family, friends, pets, dreams, nature and more, Kay Gibbs Bradley lays down the gamut and gives it her all, straight from her beautiful heart to the rusty pen. A wide range of subjects for any literary palate of discretionary tastes and demographic. Her humor shines through as well as deep and personal sentimentality, so you are in for a tailspin of mixed emotions in Kay’s first (but by no means last) published book. She’s been writing for a long time and had temporarily stepped away as life often does get in the way, but with encouragement of family and friends, she wiped the dust from pen and keyboard, picking up where her writing passion once left off, which shows you, you can’t keep a good poet down for long!

“Dedicated to my Mother, Erma Wells Gibbs. Born in the Appalachian Mountains in West Liberty Kentucky. She taught me that women are strong, creative and smart. Her faith in God helped her cope with the death of three of her six children. She taught me about compassion and at the age of 87, the year of her death, she still did her home missionary work. She was not well educated but guided all her children and grandchildren to obtain college degrees. She was our comforter, cheerleader, and left a beautiful legacy of love which is the heart of our family.”

About Kay:

Kay Gibbs Bradley is a published poet in several magazines. This is her first book of poetry. She holds degrees in English, Education, Early Childhood and Social Welfare Administration. Married with two adult children: Rob (poet and Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and Victoria (school teacher) three grandsons and two great grands. She was born and raised in Kentucky and currently lives in Virginia on the water with the most inspiring sunsets in the world.

Dear Wildfire Publications staff:

It's with both sadness and optimistic anticipation that I announce the beginning of a total restructuring of Wildfire Publications, LLC.

Deborah Brookes Langford will no longer be Vice President, nor will she be affiliated with the company in any capacity, due to creative, procedural and personal differences between us.

The postions of Vice President and Head Editor will now be filled by Kenneth Norman Cook. All other positions in the company will remain intact until further notice.

In the near future, major restructuring will occur in all areas, including Wildfire Publications Magazine, as well as publication client fees-rates adjustment and rules-regulations concerning publication.

Please note that this publishing company is not now, nor has it ever been officially identified as a "Christian company", nor any other specific type. We are an affordable, inclusive, welcoming and writer-friendly publishing firm, open to all who wish to publish with us. We will never practice censorship, nor clandestine editing of a client's work and we are utterly opposed to restrictions, other than bigotry, racism and any other "hate language" type of writing.

I'm aware that all this may come as a shock, but it's my hope that all current Wildfire staff members will choose to remain with us and help with the restructuring. We are open to any and all comments and suggestions, of course.
