I have always been fascinated with controversial films, and this is the king (or Caesar) of them all! Haven’t finished working my way through all of the special features, but the history of this movie is nuts. Really like the Ultimate Cut though. They managed to cut together a masterpiece out of unused footage and alternate angles/takes of what was largely a mess that relied heavily on shock-value.

Rear Window cinematography/lighting/set design appreciation post. I’ve always loved this movie since the first time I saw it in high school, but this time I was struck by how cozy the it felt and how I wish I could live in that set. Anyway, great movie! Probably my favorite Hitchcock!
