🎬 Support An Independent Doc & Social Change!
I'm making a film that challenges the stigma around stuttering with Isaac Bailey and Tessa Andrade, two filmmakers who also stutter. Many people who stutter experience feelings of shame and unworthiness because of this persistent stigma. The doc is called ROCK OF HOPE and it lifts up an underrepresented stuttering voice in the community and offers a vision of hope where having a stutter is not a barrier, but instead a boon to success. 🌟
In a society where misconceptions about stuttering and criminal records continue to destroy lives, storytelling is a powerful tool to foster empathy and fight back against bias. This film needs to be made because it has the ability to change people’s lives and inspire hope for the estimated 70 million people who stutter worldwide and those who are formerly incarcerated.
Every voice raised, every share, and every contribution helps in amplifying the message that we all deserve to be heard. 💪
Join us in this movement for change by supporting the crowdfunding campaign for the film below. Together, we can make a difference! ✨

Films have the power to dictate how society treats people with disabilities. Unfortunately, Billy Madison is one of those films.
In our latest episode, listen to this great commentary from Kyle Smeallie on how the movie perpetuates stigma.

Intersectional identities overlap, connect, disconnect and can even attempt to cancel each other out.
During a live interview at the @westutter Conference in Newport Beach California, I talked with multiple people who stutter about their intersectional identities and how these different identities show up in their lives.
Interviewees include @chrya, an Asian American man who stutters and a film and TV producer, Sam, a multi-racial queer woman who stutters in the mental health field, @alicia__x3, a Latino also in the healthcare field, and Eugene, an African American, Irish and Native American man who stutters.
The feeling of standing up in front of city hall and sharing our stories and getting the stuttering community recognition is one of the best feelings I’ve ever experienced. Hear more about this in our new episode released today! ProudStutter.com to listen!
Our new bonus episode is out today! I speak with Jayne Delvin, a dancer and woman who stutters about the intersections between dance, wellbeing and stuttering. We also dive into her research around flow states and stuttering.

Our Season 1 finale is out now! We talk with our guest @ninagcomedian, the Bay Area’s only woman stuttering comedian.
