This week has been a busy week at Kings Dominion! Every day they have received new shipments of B&M track in the parking lot staging area. In todays update I talk about the history of B&M coasters at Kings Dominion any why we only have one compared to other Cedar Fair parks that have several. I also talk about the history of Wing Coasters in the US and how its interesting that if that is the style and type, why that's good for KD.

Quick construction update at Kings Dominion! Most of the midway is now open in the Jungle X area of the park. It appears the footers in the Tumbili midway area for Project 2025 are complete and work shifted to the back side of the research center.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions Spotsylvania is currently under construction and there is so much going on! In the May update we check out:
🚗Mudd Tavern road construction
🍔Burger King Thornburg was removed
🌳Land is clear for the Thornburg Towne Center Project (Starbucks & Wawa)
🏗 Update on the Kalahari Construction
We also take a deep dive in to the Tom Foolery Family Entertainment Center that is part of the Kalahari Resorts. There are a lot of similarity's between Fun Land of Fredericksburg, and Tom Foolery's.

Tomorrow is the Happily Ever Novak's May Scavenger Hunt! This Hunt is going to have tasks where you look at a picture, based on the picture you will have to find that spot in the park. Once you find it, there will be a QR Code you will have to scan. Complete all the tasks for your chance to win!
Winners are going to be selected a little different this time around. The hunt will start at 12PM and anyone who finishes all the tasks before 4PM will be randomly selected to pick prizes.
This time around I have a wheel from Anaconda along with Single Use Fastlanes, Xtreme Skyflier tickets, and some other fun things.

There is so much work going on at Project 2025! I stopped by the park today to do my weekly update!
🌮Grizzly Snacks now has Walking Tacos! The snack stand opened today and I was able to try out one of the Walking Tacos.
🗼The Eiffel Tower elevator has moved positions, but it did not look like a lot was going on
🎢Lots of work going on at Project 2025. More fence is up and it looks like they may be removed some fence to make way for more midway space. Several more footers are now in place and work has started on the back side of site.
🍕Last weekend, Victoria's Pizza opened up the back half. Still no furniture, but its all open!

Tomorrow is the big day for the Happily Ever Novak's April Scavenger Hunt The Hunt will start at 12PM tomorrow. You will need to plan on it taking under 2 hours. Please make sure that if you are going to participate you start no later then 3pm. The Hunt will end at 5pm and winners will be selected at that time.
You will need the Actionbound App to play! https://en.actionbound.com/
There are 3 different kind of tasks you will be asked to do on your phone. Answer questions, scan QR codes, and take pictures. The Hunt is broken up in to the 5 main areas of the park. Each area has 5 tasks.
You are more than welcome to play as a group, but please only use 1 device for your group. Do not share answers with other devices.
No tasks will be in ride areas, que lines, or other restricted areas. You will be able to complete all tasks from the main midway or inside gift shops and restaurants.

Last weekend we flew down to Orlando for Ba*****ed Ladies at Universal Orlando Resort! It was an epic 52 hour trip that included two 14 hour days at amusement parks, 6 different parks, 25 different rides, and 2 chance encounters with Ed from BNL

On Saturday we traveled to Orlando to watch perform at Universal Studios! And wow, did they put on an amazing show! To make it even better, Clint ran into Ed Robertson (plus Tyler Stewart) at Islands of Adventure Saturday afternoon and Shari ran into Ed at Epcot on Sunday! Who did it better?
Go-Karts Plus is currently constructing a Multi Level Go Kart Track to replace the large ovel track they used to have.

On my recent trip to Houston Texas, Alex and I had a chance to visit PopStroke for 36 holes of mini golf! This is not your traditional mini golf. The greens are much bigger and more professional. I am happy to say I got 3 hole in ones!
Dillon Conroy and I went up to Hershey Park this past weekend to check out the Christmas Candylane event at the park. We kicked things off with Hershey's Chocolate world and the Chocolatier restraint for lunch.
We arrived a few hours before the park opened to enjoy both venues. Chocolate World was extremally packed with people ready to by chocolate and meet Santa.
We were not able to get a reservation at Chocolatier, but with the advice from others, we showed up at open, and took a seat at the bar (which filled up quickly). The food was amazing. A bit pricy, but a fun experience overall.
Last week when I was in Houston, TX, I had a chance to check out the Magical Winter Lights! This was a mix between Holiday Light Show and a Fair with rides, games, foods, and fun!
