Here is my attempt at a customized kobudo bag for the eku (boat oar). The bag can hold two eku with an additional compartment for small kobudo items. A hidari gomon and my signature nezumi hanko are in their usual positions (the hidari gomon is rotated slightly more to the right than is typical). Also on the bottom panels of each side are two traditional Okinawan shisa lions (male and female) with the Ryukyu royal seal between them. Embroidery images were designed by yours truly and stitching was done by TLC Apparel & Embroidery. Next project is a custom fitted nunti-bo bag

It’s an inconvenience to find oneself looking in the wrong bag for a particular item - especially when there’s a rush to get back on the floor. So, here is a first attempt at customizing a kobudo bag to show what’s in it. This bag is for all forms of bo - kata bo, kumite bo, nunti-bo, and tanbo with an additional compartment for small kobudo items. A hidari gomon and my signature nezumi hanko were added as accents. Embroidery images were designed by yours truly and stitching was done by TLC Apparel & Embroidery. Next project is a customized eku bag

A fire is raging at Shuri Castle, a UNESCO's World Heritage site in the southern prefecture of Okinawa. It started early Thursday morning. Fire trucks have rushed to the scene.

Welcome!

Many are familiar with the first Karate Kid. He existed in a three-part movie series occurring over a five-year span during the better part of the 1980s. There is, of course, a new streaming series about the same original character but nothing to get into there.

Then there was the Next Karate Kid – a movie about a different student in the mid-1990s. That happened.

This, however, is the Last Karate Kid – a social media channel comprising karate-related content on a spectrum ranging from the deeply meaningful to completely ludicrous.

Those responsible for this page grew up in, and were inspired by, the martial arts pop culture of the 80s and 90s. They began training during these decades and now, thirty years later, created a page that demonstrates two core (if not cliché and kind of obvious) concepts:
