✨ Week 11 ✨ Lymphoma-leukemia update:
Bentley went in for labs and chemo this morning! I was expecting poor news because I could feel his lymph nodes getting bigger again after having a week off from chemo….however….labs were in normal range! 🙌🏻 I was really surprised! I asked his vet oncologist why that happens and she said this: “Cancer, including lymphoma can sometimes respond in one part of the body and not respond or progress in another part of the body. He is proving to be a challenging case, but I am always up for a good challenge. We will keep trying as long as his quality of life is good and he is fighting with us.”
So thankful she will keep fighting for him! He’s a little warrior that’s for sure! He did get a new steroid injection today for his lymph nodes, along with a new prescription I’ll start giving him for the next few weeks. He will go back in two weeks for his next round of mitoxantrone. Prayers and good vibes for no side effects and that he continues to respond to treatment!
Since we won’t see them as scheduled before Christmas, I think I’ll make up a batch of my brown butter sea salt Rice Krispie treats and put Bentley in his Christmas sweater to deliver them next week as a nice surprise! They’re so great with him and we do what we can to brighten up the place as it can be soooo hard with so many sick pets, especially around the holidays! Bentley Clause is coming to town! 💕🫶🏼🐾🎄
