Demonstrator in Town!

Today Airbus A350-900 (F-WWCF) which is used by Airbus as a Testbed landed at Dhaka at 08:55AM local time from it’s base in Toulouse.

The aircraft will perform a display flight on 20th March to show its capabilities to the local operators

Bird from Toulouse hits up Dhaka!

According to the statement made by Airbus, this particular aircraft (F-WWCF) used as a demonstrator/ testbed will show its capabilities and efficiency to grab local operator's interest at Dhaka. Fingers crossed for some maneuver in Dhaka sky, though no NOTAMs have been issued regarding that yet!

Due to taxiway November's construction, all aircrafts taking off via 14 has to lineup via taxiway Charlie, which creates an 'airplane jam' in front the stands! Crews surely have divine views like these!

Surprise visitor from LAHORE!

Turkish bird TC-RSD, a Learjet 45 of Redstar Aviation executed a flight from Lahore to Chattagram today. Guesses are that, it was a medical flight.

Redstar Aviation is the Turkey's leading air assistance company, providing air ambulance evacuation and repatriation services. Redstar obtained its initial Air Operator's Certificate from the Ministry of Transportation in 1989, and currently conducts its operations with 3 Learjet 45XR and 2 Learjet 45.

Night out with USB's new 737-800GJs.

US-Bangla Airlines received two 737s few days ago, registered LZ-DBP (To be S2-AJE) and LZ-DBR (To be S2-AJF). No business class seats were noticed on the 737s. They are yet to get painted at DAC. Guesses are that, they will put on the decals as of now.

They have also expressed their wish to add A330 and A321LR to the fleet.

We wish them all the best for future!

US Bangla 737 backtracking on Runway 14!

Also US Bangla started direct flights to Malé!

US Bangla Airlines started direct flights to Velana
International Airport Malé, Maldives.
BS337 operated by a B737-800 (S2-AJD) departed Hazrat Shahajalal International Airport Dhaka,Bangladesh at 11:27 local time and arrived in Velana International Airport Malé at 03:10 local time.

They will operate 3 weekly flights to Malé on Sunday,Monday and Friday using their 737s

PK-BVM.

After it was on the air for 4,799 hours, it had to return to the place where it was created for maintenance in Stans, Switzerland.
On October 29, 2021, it started its journey back to Indonesia. Its journey started from Stans airport, Switzerland to Halim Perdana Kusuma airport, Jakarta, Indonesia. It will cover 14,050 kilometers, stopping in 12 countries and crossing 3 continents. Its journey which will take 8 days is not easy, especially with the ongoing COVID pandemic in the world today.
The Susi Air team had worked hard the previous few months to get transit permits in 12 countries. Starting from the Pilatus factory in Switzerland, it will visit 11 different countries for refueling, namely Italy, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia.

Today at 18:20 local time, it landed at CGP/VGEG, Bangladesh for refuelling.

Emirates, one of the world's leading airlines, celebrated 35 years of its operation in Bangladesh yesterday.

Since 1986, the airline has carried more than 10.4 million passengers to and from Dhaka, operating over 19,300 roundtrip flights, said Mohamed Alhammadi, Emirates country manager in Bangladesh.

The airline based in Dubai, UAE, currently operates three weekly flights in Dhaka, utilising its wide-body Boeing 777-300ER.
The airline has carried more than 10.4 million passengers to and from Dhaka, operating over 19,300 roundtrip flights.

VGHS aka LAND OF ANTONOVs!

In an interval of a day, DAC was blessed with An-124s of 3 different company. They are Maximus, ADB and Volga Dnepr. Except that Motor Sich An-12 visited yesterday. Lastly to add up to the scene, our AN-32s were on their scheduled flights.

Surprise visitor yesterday at DAC!

Etihad suddenly decided to change their equipment from the 787-9 to 787-10 yesterday night, which resulted the arrival of this beautiful Etihad Greenliner livery. Particular airframe is registered A6-BMH. It's not always, when you see 2 787-10 standing at the stands. The other one was Saudia 787-10.

Kuwait Airways too sent their 777 with a "ZAIN" decal. Check out the comments for that!

It's good see airlines sending special liveries to DAC pretty often now.

JETSET GLOBAL/ NEW EK LIVERY

Boeing 777-300ER (reg.A6-EPO) arrived yesterday at OMDB/ Dubai wearing the new 'UAE 50th Anniversary' livery. The very first paint job on this livery was done on their A380.

The first flight of this aircraft, after wearing the new livery was from Dubai to Dhaka. Hopefully, it will be a 'REGULAR' at DAC soon!

মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের দেশ সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের বাণিজ্য নগরী দুবাই ইন্টারন্যাশনাল এয়ারপোর্ট থেকে সিলেট ওসমানী ইন্টারন্যাশনাল এয়ারপোর্টে আগামী ৩ সেপ্টেম্বর চালু হচ্ছে বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইনসের স্বাভাবিক ফ্লাইট।

সপ্তাহের শুক্রবার (বৃহস্পতিবার মধ্যরাত) দুবাই থেকে সিলেট ইন্টারন্যাশনাল এয়ারপোর্টে বাংলাদেশ বিমানের ফ্লাইট পরিচালিত হবে।
দেশের জাতীয় বিমান সংস্থা বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইনসের দুবাই অফিস থেকে প্রেরিত রিজিওনাল ম্যানেজার সজল কান্তি বড়ুয়ার সাক্ষরিত বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এই তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে।

Oman lifts travel ban from Bangladesh.

Oman has lifted its travel ban on 18 countries, including Bangladesh, effective from 12 noon of September 1, four months after imposing the ban due to the rise in Covid-19 infections.

The ban was lifted following an announcement made by the Oman Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) today on the instruction of the Supreme Committee on Corona Prevention comprising of Medical Response, Public Health Sector and the Royal Oman Police.

Passengers travelling to Oman must take both doses of the coronavirus vaccine approved by the country's health authority and must carry a vaccine certificate with a QR code.

The second dose should not be less than approximately 14 days before the time of arrival.

According to the circular, all Omani citizens, expatriates, Oman visa holders, people who do not need a visa to travel to Oman and who can get a visa upon arrival are allowed to enter the county following the pre-Covid-19 procedure.

Children under the age of 18 are exempted from the requirement to present a PCR certificate and proof of vaccination when traveling to Oman.

Accepted vaccines are:

1) Pfizer BioNTech
2) Oxford/ AstraZeneca
3) Gamaleya Sputnik V
4) Sinovac Corona Vac

On other note, Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start regular flights from Dubai to Chattagram within August 26-28th (possible date).

The flag carrier will operate flights from Dubai to Chittagong every Saturday and Tuesday!

When Matiur broke the cage of Karachi and flew into space, on the rugged wing of a T-33 aircraft, Mahin, Tuhin and Mili remembered his dream independent homeland.

He flew in the sky, like millions of people, he had the hope of establishing the independent country of his dreams. But he could not see it. Although his small plane Blue Bird has landed, his dream has been established. And before his death, showing the maximum amount of the desire of the Bengalis for independence, the minds of the Pakistanis were shaken. Today, the people of this independent country hold him in high esteem, remember him with reverence.
