Hizi abductions zimeongeza CCTV kwa vitu nafaa kuangalia kwa plot nahamia.

If you have the means, install hidden cameras at your place of work, in your car and in your homes.

We would not know who's been abducted were it not for the CCTV footages.

Your matatu drivers and their donda counterparts never learn !

We were forced to be driven to a police station this morning.

Not because we wanted but because our friends wanted to make it to work on time.

We reside in an area where there's no set stage.

Our stage is standing by the roadside and wait for matatus that would drop off passengers on the highway. We replace them.

This particular matatu conductor in his wisdom or lack of the same decided to carry 3 more passengers hoping to escape the sight of the traffic police officers.

Few metres drive and a roundabout happens.

The traffic officers spot the passengers standing inside the matatu.

Negotiations between the conductor and traffic officers don't bear fruit.

We're driven to the station , the whole matatu arrested .

'Innocent' passengers alight the vehicle .

Were forced to board the next matatu , 400 metres or so from the police station.

A bad day in office for the matatu operators.

They hadn't collected the fare before this whole incident happened.

The passengers who alighted hadn't paid the fare despite travelling for half of the journey by this matatu.

Do they learn?

Yesterday while walking in town, my cousin who hustles in town called.

He wanted me to accompany him to a barber shop to shave. So I accepted and agreed on where to meet him.

We met to Muthurwa market- that's where hustlers, like me and him would get a decent have for a few pennies.

The barber asked him to sit on the chair , tied that Celo tape (I don't know it's name.- I first saw it on my last shave in Kakamega and now this time) then asked him what style he would want his hair made.

All this , speaking to us in Swahili.

My cousin replied , '' Nyoa shade , punguza tu" (Just reduce the hair and shade it)

He then proceeded to begin reducing the hair, little by little and kept on asking if that level was okay.

You know , I am used to shave all, (kipara) so I asked my cousin to speak to the barber man to lower the hair. -in my native language. (Ateso)

That's when the barber man cut in with a statement in Ateso!

Kumbe guy is from our village buana and all this time my cousin has been shaving here being charged like Kimani from Kiambu!

Buana I have decided that even if I am to buy wandaweya in town, I first greet you in my native language and if you don't answer, that's when I will repeat the greetings in Swahili or English.

Can't tolerate such embarrassment anymore!
