Saturn and the hula hoops explores electronic music from LoFi to dubstep with a high amount of bass frequencies and with a taste of space aesthetic. Saturn’s music challenges genre categorization by incorporating stylistic aspects of many electronic genres. In combination, these aspects help make Saturn’s music very unique amongst the LoFi community.

Saturn and the hula hoops was created in the summer of 2020 by published classical composer Michael Iorio. Michael achieved his bachelors degree in music performance at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and his masters degree in music composition at University of Massachusetts Amherst.


Michael has classical works published by C. Alan publications and receives performances of his works around the globe yearly. Michael also owns a recording studio in Chambersburg Pennsylvania titled “Alley Cat Studios LLC.”
