How many different social apps do you use every day?

Online communities have changed over the past three decades and this is where we think it's going 👇

Social apps are designing their platforms to allow users to directly support their favorite creators through subs, tips, and exclusive content.

Over the past few years, exclusive content has become more popular than ever, allowing users to connect and engage with creators.

Creators being able to take their communities into their own hands will be the next evolution of social applications.

The only advertiser's creators should have to answer to are the ones they work with directly. Allowing influencers to think freely, and share freely.

Censorship and shadow-banning are becoming massive issues on major platforms, hindering creators from truly expressing themselves. New platforms have already begun to emerge combating this issue (Kavarii being one of them).

Creators spend years developing their communities and for it, all to disappear or be suppressed based on biased algorithms designed to favor advertisers doesn't seem fair to us.

We want to be on the frontlines of that battle and the next evolution of online communities.

The best advice we have ever received when wanting to launch a creative endeavor is to just start.

-It’s about the Story not about Gear 📖

I know we are beginning to sound like Casey but it's true. If you have an iPhone you have enough to begin telling a story.

-Differentiate yourself somehow 💫

It can be the smallest detail or focus. What we recommend is called the Beachhead market strategy. You want to aim small miss small, and not spray a pray. The larger market and audience, the harder it is to dominate and control that market.

-Get a mentor 📕

The fastest way to learn how to film, edit, and distribute your content is to leverage expert knowledge from somebody in your network. Take a local content creator out for coffee. Shadow them for a day, or even offer to intern for them for a day, week, or month

-Have fun with it 🎈

Tim Ferris 3 rules for creating:

1: Relax. No one’s going to die. Just gets a little better each time.
2: Keep it simple. Constantly ask yourself “What would this look like if it were easy?”
3: Be yourself—weirdness, warts, and all.
