10-YEAR-OLD GIRL BE-HEADED AND BODY PARTS MISSING.

Police in Lusaka have recorded a case of murder in which a 10-year-old girl identified as Universal Kamushi of Utailo Farm was found dead in Lusaka West area.

Police Deputy Spokersperson Danny Mwale says the victim was a grade three pupil at a Mano Primary School in Westwood area.

Brief facts are that on March 24, 2023, Universal Kamushi reported to School the usual time around 08:00 hours and after knocking off in the afternoon, she never went back home.

At around 18:00 hours, her parents reportedly started searching for the child until today, around 10:00 hours when her family members discovered her decapitated body in a decomposed state two Kilometers away from the school.

Her head was later found 200 metres away from the body which had other parts missing.

The incident was reported to Police today around 11:00 hours and officers rushed to the scene where they found the body of the girl with some body parts missing. Immediately Investigations were instituted and several people in the area were interviewed.

Initial investigations revealed that the suspect identified as *Harrison Chisenga aged 25* who was sub-contracted to do some works at Utailo Farm is believed to be behind the savage killing of the girl.

He is currently on the run and members of the public are urged to be on the look-out and alert Police immediately he is spotted anywhere during the day or night time.

SUSPECTED POLICE OFFICER ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY

March 23, 2023 - Police in Lusaka arrested four suspected criminals in connection with the Robbery that occurred in Lusaka recently.

Police were investigating a robbery that occurred on March 14, 2023 around 12 hours were a man only identified as Zewelanji Phiri was robbed of money amounting to K3,400 in Kamwala trading Area.

The incident occurred when the victim was stopped by the suspects who were driving a white Toyota Allion bearing registration number BCF 622 and was ordered to enter their car. The suspects allegedly introduced themselves as Police officers as one of them had a Police radio.

The suspects later ordered the victim to surrender money he had on him. The victim gave them K3,400 and was later dropped within Kamwala area.

Following the description of the motor vehicle and the suspects by the victim, Police intercepted the motor vehicle in Kamwala Trading area and managed to apprehend the suspects who were driving the Toyota Allion bearing the same details as earlier reported by the victim. Four suspects were apprehended including one who is believed to be a Police officer.

The suspect identified was in full Zambia Police Service uniform and further investigations to formally identify him have heightened.

The suspects were apprehended on March 22, 2023 around 13:00 hours after Police officers spotted the vehicle in Kamwala Trading area.

Zambia Police Command will never shield any Police officer found abusing Police uniform or equipment. Those found in contravention with the law will be firmly dealt with and made to answer for their actions.

Shiwang’andu 'onion seller' hacks two customers, steals their K21,000

Police in Muchinga Province are investigating a case in which two people were allegedly hacked with a machete and robbed of K21, 000 cash on a business trip.

In this matter, Petronella Mwango, 40, and her brother in-law Mike Chanda, 37, of Mpika were hacked by an unknown person in Shiwang’andu who was supposed to supply them with 70 by 50 kg bags of onions, for resale in Kasumbalesa.

Ms. Mwango in the company of Mr. Chanda told Diamond News that upon making arrangements, they met the said man in Chisoso village but on the way to show them the purported onions, he turned on them with a machete which he was hiding in a laptop bag.

Diamond media visited the victims who are admitted to Chinsali General Hospital where they shared the ordeal.

A Kenyan-based Canadian nurse, identified as Hellen Wendy was live on her Facebook account while swimming in a pool several hours ago.

A 36-YEAR-OLD man of Ndola has been left in shock after he discovered that his wife was secretly building a house which is currently at window level.

Godfrey Kapwi has since dragged Linda Mutambo 29, his wife to court seeking divorce as he cannot trust her anymore.

Kapwi told the Kabushi local court that his wife bought a plot and built a house up to window level without his knowledge.

"I am in shock that my wife bought a plot and has been building it up to window level. What is more shocking is that her parents have been supporting her," he lamented.

Kapwi narrated that his wife misused money which he gave her for personal things and that she even failed to buy clothes for the children.

"The most shocking part is that she hads built the same house in the same area with the man I was suspecting her of going out with. I am a driver and I am, always away from home and so when I returned I found out that she was dating the relative to the landlord, of which I forgive her and we moved on,"he said.

He told court however, that he could not continue living with her after this as he felt cheated.

However, Mutambo in her defence told the court that the couple started having problems when her husband got another woman pregnant.

"After he impregnated another woman we started having disputes most times. On top of it, my in-laws started to interfere in our marriage too much by saying we were staying on their plot and that was how my parents got me a plot and I started Building," she said.

Passing judgment Presiding senior magistrate John Kabwe sitting with senior Magistrate Emelda Masuwa granted Divorce and ordered Kapwi to compansate his wife with K6,000.

Pope Francis has told couples not to have s*x before marriage in a new Vatican guide which explains what the church views as requirements for a successful union.

The leader of the Catholic Church argues in the preface of the new document for priests and dioceses working with engaged couples that 'chastity teaches the timing and the method of true love'.

He also claims that modern unions 'fall apart' quickly and chaste couples are able to learn how to be together without the pressure of s*xual relationships.

This teaching also helps when couples are older, Pope Francis adds, explaining it helps them in s*xless periods late in life and should apply even if engaged couples are living together.

The 97-page document, published on Tuesday, and called the Catechumenal Itineraries for Married Life 'is a gift and it is a task', the Catholic Church's leader said.

This move has not been without controversy, The Telegraph writes, and appears to be in contrast with the Pope's openness towards divorced and same-s*x couples.

Pope Francis said in the text given the high rates of divorce and fewer marriages in recent years there is a need for 'renewed pastoral commitment'.

He added 'at the origin of many difficulties' that married couples face is 'the hedonistic mentality that distorts the beauty and depth of human s*xuality'

The document goes on to say: 'The Church must never fail to dare to propose the precious virtue of chastity, even though this is now in direct contrast with the common mentality.

'Chastity must be presented as an authentic 'ally of love', not as its negation.

'Chastity teaches married couples the times and ways of true, delicate and generous love, and prepares them for the authentic gift of self to be lived for the whole of their life in marriage,'

And within marriage s*x is encouraged: 'Fecundity is a gift, an end of marriage, for conjugal love naturally tends to be fruitful,' states the catechism.
