My mistake been extremely busy last few months, didn't realise that counting doesn't start till tomorrow morning. And results will begin filtering in tomorrow afternoon.

Sadly I'm in university all day tomorrow. Truly gutted. Many of you will be relieved I'm sure 😂😂😂

The UK Parliament has decided today that the nation of Bingwanie will have an independence referendum on whether or not the country will separate from the Union.

Boris Johnson said today ‘Oh, ah, you know, I think it is. Well, ahhh, it’s a big day for them. Taking back control and what not. I’m you know, ah, stay indoors, I hope they follow their hearts, and you know um ahhhhhhhhh. I’m a member of the local chess club.’

It is still unclear whether or not the citizens will vote to leave, but we do know there will be months of civilized debate and respect towards both sides of the argument. The latest exit polls will be released in the coming days.

Will Boris Johnson remain in control of this poor vassal state as David Cameron did with Scotland or will this be another celebration of national independence from a dated Union built on invasion and colonisation.

What a roller-coaster to end this wonderful month of January in the greatest year (2021) since records began. I’m hopeful. Two elections, the day after each other, all reported from my bedroom. You know if this lockdown did one good thing. It was… Make me drink more? Either way.

We have Portugal on the 24/01/2021 – If anyone knows Cristiano’s number please pass it along. Otherwise, I’ve heard we’ll be getting an interview with whichever candidate comes second. Also known as losing.

Then the next day the 25th January of the same year. Trinidad & Tobago! My good mate Shaka Hislop who was goalkeeper for Portsmouth, will not be giving an interview. Sorry.

Also! I did say in an earlier video (it is at this point that most content creators would point you in the direction of that video, I will not, that video was silly… even for me) that the countries of Niger and Central African Republic were running Presidential elections on the 27th December 2020. They did, but neither candidate in either nation was able to get past the 50% mark. So. They go again!

First on our round up of World Elections is Uganda. The results were confirmed last weekend, but I’m only writing about it now, because only now, do I, have the time. That is not how you construct a sentence. And this election is now you construct democracy.

WOW! NO WAY! THE INCUMBENT PRESIDENT WHO TOOK CONTROL DECADES AGO THROUGH MILITARY FORCE WON A SIXTH CONSECUTIVE ELECTION! NO WAY!

You couldn’t write it, could you? Well, you could! Yoweri Museveni won 58.64% of the vote compared to closest rival Bobi Wine was garnered 34.83%. Voter turnout was 57.22% which is down from last year by about ten percent. Actually, I must point out that the turnout was the lowest in twenty years – since they were allowed to have elections.

Why was the turnout so low? Well, yeah Covid would have played a part. Or maybe because Museveni and his government turned off the bloody internet on the day of voting! I mean. Just, don’t have an election if you’re plainly going to stop the people from voting. Bobi Wine has called it ‘the most fraudulent election in the history of Uganda’ which is bold statement, but unlike Trump I think musician Bobi might have more credibility. Of course, Museveni has pointed out it couldn’t have been safer of cheating. Huh. OH! And now Bobi Wine after his lose is surrounded by military troops who won’t allow anyone in or out. So. That probably shows everything was done legitimately. I’m sure.

I suppose there is some cause to be positive in Uganda with Bobi Wine’s party the ‘National Unity Platform winning the second most number of seats after Museveni’s ‘National Resistance Movement’ and may be able to cheque the government in some avenues.

Wouldn’t hold your breath though.

Today is the turn of Uganda where the people are deciding on who their President will be and who will sit in their government. Apparently, there is a lot of apathy from voters, as the young people’s votes will make the difference. 75% of the population are under thirty. That is an insane statistic. And they turned out in droves.

The incumbent Yower Museveni has been the President there since… 1986. What? That is thirty-five years for heaven sake. And he got power by toppling the government. So, just succeeding in what Trump couldn’t do. Stop. His closest opponent is the singer Bobi Wine. Who represents the youth and underprivileged of the country, but will he get power?

Yeah, probably not. There doesn’t seem to be any belief in anything changing for the country, something has is becoming a regular theme throughout all the elections I read and ‘report’ on. What is the point I’m beginning to wonder? Democracy.

If anything interesting happens, and I’m awake, and I can be bothered to type, and I have any motivation, and results come in, and yeah, I’ll let you know. Buckle up. Eat some onions.
