Another batch of photos from Greer on Saturday! 👀
This page will be used for race updates, photos, videos, racer interviews, blog posts and more.
Jess was born into a family of drag racers and fell in love with the sport as a child. Although unlike most drivers her age, her racing career didn’t start in a junior dragster. Jess began footbraking in a full-bodied car against other teenagers, with her Dad in the passenger seat, in South Carolina. Now 16 years later, she lives in Tennessee and races nearly every weekend with her husband, Cody.
Jess alternates between footbraking her 79 Malibu Wagon and 95 Pontiac Firebird, competing in IHRA and NHRA events as well as big money bracket races. You can find her in the staging lanes across varying states, so just look for the tall blonde and say hello!
Another batch of photos from Greer on Saturday! 👀
Some of the photos from Greer Dragway yesterday! It was perfect weather for racing ☀️
Feel free to tag anyone you recognize!
It’s a cloudy and breezy day on the mountain and a packed house for the DER Racing Series!
I’m getting back behind the wheel of my Firebird to race Footbrake today and tomorrow before coming back Thursday to work behind the scenes during the always exciting World Footbrake Challenge.
Gotta love back-to-back weekends of racing at Bristol! 😍
I tried something a little different Saturday and took a few photos of the Carolina Drag Cruise heading up Asheville Highway. They had a pretty scenic route ahead of them with stops at the Landrum Depot, Granddad’s Apples, Lake Lure, and then back to Ciclops Brewery in Spartanburg. I only had time to watch them go by on their way to the first stop, but it was still cool to see!
The event also included passes at local racetracks with Thursday night at Greer Dragway, Friday (rain out) at Union County Dragway and Sunday at Shadyside Dragway.
I believe they have a Fall event in the works, so maybe it’ll be a weekend where we can join in on the ride. 😎
Here's the full album from the 864 Outlaws race at Greer Dragway 4-22-23.
I was just able to photograph the first couple of rounds because then I got busy behind the wheel in Footbrake lol.
Feel free to share/tag the drivers, especially since this isn't the bracket racing crowd that I usually take photos of.
It’s wheelie fun to drive my wagon 😎

Part 2 from Cherokee Race Park 4/15/23
I’ve been slacking this week on getting these photos uploaded, but here we go!
Part 1
We kicked off the 2023 season yesterday with 2 final round appearances! 😎
My .011 red light in the Footbrake final left me with the runner up while Cody got the win in Sportsman after a 2nd round exit in Footbrake.
Dad finally got his old wagon back out in the mix and made it to the semis in Sportsman and 2nd round in Footbrake.
Looking forward to a great season of racing thanks to these great companies! 🏁

It was a great day to be back at the racetrack!! 😍
*there are more photos to come but having internet issues…check back tomorrow 😂
Hey ya gotta celebrate the little things too, right? 🤷🏼♀️😂😂
It’s always fun to see who likes what photos or how people resonate with an article or video you create. Anything to keep drag racing on the radar!
What was your highlight of the 2022 season?!? 🤩
For me behind the wheel it would probably be picking up the win at the last points race after a tough season battling inconsistencies.
Spectating it would have to be watching Cody not only win but also runner up the $10K at Greer! 🤯
I was able to work two amazing Coalburg Racing Promotions events at Bristol, write numerous press releases for new and returning clients, recap some of the best races in the country, practice my photography and videography, and continue growing my motorsports media business.
Last year was full of highs and lows both on track and outside of racing. Although it’s still early, I feel like 2023 is already shaping up to be an even better year! 😎

I'm reorganizing files on my laptop to make room for the upcoming season and took a few minutes to play around with some photos (any excuse to look at racecars, right)? 😂
While I think a nice mix of both can keep things interesting...how do you feel about color or black-and-white photos? 🤔
Counting down the days until we are hearing racecar noises again 🤗
📢 Client News!
Shoutout to Final Call Promotions for adding to the racer experience by partnering with FuelTech in 2023! The racer who earns the title of FuelTech MVP at each event will walk away with a brand new FT450 system. 🤯
Thanks for choosing me to write about your huge news and I can’t wait to see who will claim each FuelTech MVP title!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄🎆
I hope everyone enjoys the holiday season spending quality time with the important people in their lives, because I know I am! I also hope you all stay safe and warm. 💗
Soon we will welcome 2023 and shortly after the racing season will be back before we know it. Maybe some of us are already counting the days 😉
We had a great time at the Performance Racing Industry Show over the last few days!
Aside from catching up with sponsors, race friends, meeting Facebook friends in person, and getting a TON of steps in, one of the highlights had to be snagging the latest issue of Drag Illustrated.
[in case you missed it on my personal page] An article I wrote about The Million made its way into the edition released last week.
Pretty cool feeling to see your name in print within one of the most popular drag racing magazines! 😍 😂😂😂
Now we have a lot more work to do in this off season before 2023 kicks off. I feel like it’s going to be the best year yet! 😎
There’s just a couple more races on our schedule before we wrap up 2022 and get ready for the off season 😫
This weekend we are heading to Virginia and it’ll be my first time competing at Motor Mile Dragway. Hopefully we will be able to turn on lots of win lights, but regardless it’s always an adventure checking a new track off the list! 😎

Gotta love watching this little truck 😍 It wasn’t a very productive day for me, Cody, or Dad yesterday but sometimes that’s just the way it goes. 🤷🏼♀️ Time to regroup and get ready for the next race! #teamMT #rccomponents
We are here at the Performance Racing Industry Show!! And it goes without saying that this place is HUGE!!! #myprishow
It’s #wheeliewednesday and I have to give a shoutout to Dad for getting runner up over the weekend at Greer! 🏆
Check out the turnout for the Pit Vehicle race at Memphis International Raceway! 😳😂
It’s going to be an awesome week! 🤩 Today is my birthday and in just 2 days we will be back at Bristol for the 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 $𝟐𝟓𝟎𝐤!! Adjustments to the wagon have helped the consistency issues and I feel we are 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 getting along again. We made some pretty good laps Sunday until I went .006 red. 🤷🏼♀️ Shaking that off and I’m going to try my best to kick off the 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝟸𝟶𝘴 by winning a 6 figure big check! 😜 Also have to give a shoutout to my awesome coworkers for the cake! 😍
Hoping the weather holds off so I can catch some more wheelies and burnouts this weekend! 😎 I’ll be spectating the $10k Top Bulb race at Greer Dragway Saturday then it’s off to Bristol Dragway to get back behind the wheel on Sunday! 🏁
After taking last weekend off, I’m glad to be back at my happy place...the racetrack! What does your Saturday look like? 😎 #rccomponents #TeamMT #highlineclothingco #dragchamp #chicksonslicks
Too Tall Racing officially has a YouTube channel! 🤩 I’m kicking things off with footage from the World Footbrake Challenge XV at Bristol Dragway! 👀 Check out the trailer and I’ll add a link to the full video below ↘️ https://youtu.be/7BRBBnfN2fE
Slowly creeping my way towards a final round....hopefully 🤣 Yesterday I took the Fireturd to Knoxville Dragstrip where I went red at 3 cars. 🤦🏼♀️ 3 straight semifinal appearances isn't a bad start to the season, but it sure would be nice to turn on at least one more win light. Oh well, next week we will try again. And this time...it's Bristol, baby!! 😜
I didn’t get to take too many videos this weekend because when you have 3 drivers with 4 cars on the property you spend the whole day running around like crazy 😜 😂 But here’s a short look at some of the racers at Greer Dragway. Plus Cody’s debut in the S-10 and wait til the end to see my wheelie-wagon! 😉
