Another cold front came through just before a trip to Roosevelt lake and boy was it freezing cold. We had to slow down the presentation big time to catch anything, but we still found fish and had a blast out on the water. Since I moved to Texas 5 years ago I have not been able to fish at one of my favorite places. I moved back to Arizona a little less than a year ago and have been anxiously waiting to get there. This trip was therapeutic for me. so much fun, so beautiful, so many fish and good time spent with my family. I have had many 100 fish days, and look forward to many more to come. Had a super fun time bank fishing the salt river in this episode. It had been a while since I'd been bank fishing there and instead of floating it on the kayak I decided to hike and wade. I owe a ton to my wife who has a serious fear of snakes for still editing this episode for me. You never know what you might run into and it was not part of the plan to run into snakes, but I ended up getting some cool footage and she was brave enough to still edit it for me. We didn't end up catching anything big, but we did catch several that were over a pound and that is pretty good for the Salt River which is known for holding a lot of little fish. This was a super fun trip! 3 Days backpacking and camping with 2 of my brothers, sisters-in-law and my wife. NO KIDS! It was Nice to spend some quality time with my wife and my brothers and their wives backpacking Mt Baldy. It truly is a gorgeous place! We started at the east baldy parking lot and went 6 miles the first day, set up camp, found some wild berries and passed out after dinner. Day 2 we went a little less than 5 miles, set up camp and then I got the chance to do some fishing in the little Colorado river. Caught a few little brook trout on salmon eggs and then made it back to camp to chill for the night. Day 3 we had a little less than 5 miles left. I managed to get 30 minutes to fish again and was able to catch 1 more fish. it was a super fun trip and We really had a chance to GET OUT AND LIVE. Hope you enjoy! I know we did!

I have been asked several times now about bank fishing at Canyon lake and I have always told people that they should be able to catch fish from the bank here, but I have never tried it myself. I've always had my kayak with me, so I decided to do an episode of bank fishing for those who have asked about it. It was a super fun trip! I decided to bring fish into the picture and came up with the 30 day fish fruit and veggie challenge. It was tough but it was also very rewarding. Watch to find out how well it worked! It's my first time fishing Bartlett Lake AZ. The wind was a big pain in the butt, but we did the best we could with the circumstances. I fought the wind across the lake and when it was time to head back home, the wind switched directions and I had to fight it on the way back. I had a lot of fun getting to learn this lake a little. The maps on my fish finder were no good so I had to just fish the edges of the lake and that's where the fish were anyways so it worked out. It felt good to get out. I caught the fish on a craw and a jerk bait. I'll definitely be back to give it another try. Thanks for watching and as always remember to GET OUT AND LIVE!

I Return to canyon lake for a 3rd attempt at the fill the cooler challenge. I needed more fish for the freezer and so I wanted to fill it with yellow bass because they are soooo good eating. I return to Big lake for some trout fishing fun. Turned out to be a very successful quick trip. I caught a lot of fish in a short amount of time and I had to go home early with my limit of fish that were hooked too badly to throw back. I used live worms about 1/3 to half of the worm at a time threaded onto a size #2 drop shot hook. I had a barrel swivel and 1/4 oz weight about 3 feet up from the hook. I let it sink to the bottom and reeled it in slowly with short stops. The pattern worked well on this trip. Hope you enjoy the video and find helpful. As always remember to GET OUT AND LIVE!

Beautiful morning to be out fishing. The river was running really high which made getting to our carp spot a lot harder than I planned. I hooked into a few bass with a whopper plopper. After a couple of attempts we finally made it across and got started fishing. We were using corn as bait and ended up with a really big carp that was a ton of fun to fight. Back at Canyon lake to do some yellow bass fishing. It's another attempt at the fill the cooler challenge. It was a lot of fun catching a bunch of yellow bass and I really enjoy eating these fish too. We caught all our fish on a Blade bait and a small crank bait. The blade bait we used is the Cabelas Mean Eye blade bait in the Chrome/black back color 1/4 oz size and the crank bait was the Bomber F3 Fat A. It has been nice to have some fish hit so consistently in the dog days of summer. Yellow bass are one of my new favorite species to fish. We are BACK fishing at Carnero Lake. This is a new favorite lake of mine. We noticed a fish kill when we first got there, but three were still plenty of fish around surfacing. We caught most of our fish on a zebra midge and a small rubber worm.The bite started out slow and once I switched up the pattern I started to hit my stride. BUT THEN we got stormed out and we had to race back to the truck to get out of the water from a nearby lightning storm.

As requested, here is a catch, clean and cook episode. I went to Canyon Lake with the hopes to fill up the cooler with yellow bass and it got about half way full of yellow bass and bluegill. I show you how I fillet the fish....warning: fish blood and guts are shown....and dive straight into cooking them. I used lemon pepper, salt, pepper and butter to cook the fish. We Camped up Navajo Canyon for 3 days and had as much fun as you could have in the extreme heat we were dealing with. This is a super fun episode to watch. Decided to give Canyon Lake a try on the kayak. It's a new lake for me. Started out chasing largemouth with a 6XD crank bait and also a Texas rigged Craw and had no luck. Decided to switch over to the Good Old Yellow Bass. I got on to them quick and had a blast pulling a bunch in. I definitely had a blast and GOT OUT AND LIVED. If you ever get a chance to target them it is a lot of fun.

After catching a bunch of yellow bass in a previous episode, I had so much fun that I had to come back and give it another try just focusing on the yellow bass. Again we got on to some good fish and had a blast catching a bunch of yellow bass, a few small largemouth bass and some bluegills. The summer heat can get crazy so when the cameras started overheating and I started losing my energy, it was time to go. I love fishing for yellow bass because the fight hard and they are one of the best eating fish you can catch in Arizona. Remember as always to GET OUT AND LIVE.

This trip was a little different than what I expected. I went in hopes to catch some tiger trout and I did end up catching one little tiny one, and I caught a few good rainbow trout, but what surprised me the most about fishing willow springs was the amount of small-mouth bass that are in there. I was close to just switching over to small-mouth fishing, but I stuck with my plan and kept targeting the trout. I probably would have caught more fish, but I just might have to come back another time just to fish the smallies. Willow springs is a beautiful place and the perfect size for kayak fishing.

This was a very interesting day! We started out at Woodland lake in Pinetop AZ. We were going for a frog bite and swim bait bite in all the weeds. After about an hour and a half and one bite, I decided to make the move to Scotts Reservoir in Showlow. It was there that I noticed smoke on the shore from my kayak. I had to check it out because the whole state of Arizona was under extreme fire danger restrictions. Sure enough there was a fire spreading and I had to put it out with my water jug. The fishing was no good but I'm glad we were there to stop the wildfire from spreading. After that, I went to a private pond with my brother for the evening bite and we had a lot of fun catching bass on frogs! As always our message is to GET OUT AND LIVE. This is one of my favorite episodes to date. Fishing Carnero lake is a must if you are a trout fisherman. This place was almost magical in its beauty and quality fishing. This episode is jam packed with action. We caught fish on a golden Mepps spinner, brown woolly bu**er, brown woolly worm, snow cone, rubber worm and even had about ten attempts at our bobber! I also LOST MY GOPRO in the lake. It came unscrewed and fell in without the float that is attached to it. I did manage to find it after jumping in the water and feeling around with my feet in all the weeds. I'm super grateful I was able to find it, because that is where all the awesome underwater footage and me showing off the fish came from. I will definitely be going back Fishing at Carnero Lake again.

This trip was very different than what I was expecting. I was planning on a lot of weeds while fishing Rainbow Lake. It used to be clear water with weeds and now the weeds are gone and the water is pretty gross looking. We started off targeting bass and then we picked up a catfish while finesse fishing a craw! The catfish continued to like that pattern and we pulled them in until it was time to go home. It pays to be flexible! I adjusted to a different species and had a lot of fun doing it. I love taking my family out fishing with me even though it usually means more work. It's all about our message to GET OUT AND LIVE and that means as a family too! We gave our little family a fun experience that helps us to grow closer together. While fishing with kids you have to cease each opportunity to make things fun or they will lose the desire to go fishing. Make it fun and they will always want to go. The fishing wasn't the best today, but we had a ton of fun and created some memories. I also learned that my little girl LOVES the Camera! I am a firm believer of doing the best with what you have until you have the best. And today that meant I was out on Saguaro Lake on a Kayak getting slammed by waves made from bigger boats. Fishing on Saguaro Lake AZ can be hit and miss. I was originally kayak fishing for largemouth bass, but I couldn't get them dialed in, so we switched to a smaller crank bait and started fishing for yellow bass and had a ton of fun pulling in a bunch of them. It's all about our message to GET OUT AND LIVE and I was definitely out and living and having a blast doing it. And I am SO looking forward to the day when I own my own a bass boat. Fishing Tempe Town Lake was a ton of fun. I saw a ton of carp when I was fishing here for bass and so I decided to come back for some carp fishing. There was plenty of action, landed some good fish, but I just couldn't get my act together with setting the hook. I would definitely recommend fishing Tempe Town Lake for some good carp fishing action. Key of the day was to use a small hook with no weights so they can't detect the line. I chose to fish at Blue Ridge Reservoir because my family was camping near by and I wanted a place to go fishing. I Didn't have high hopes or expectations, I was just looking forward to being on the water and exploring. It was way better than I expected once I get a pattern dialed in. Took the Kayak out on Big Lake in the White Mountains of Arizona. It was a super windy day so I dropped anchor on one spot and positioned myself so I could cast with the wind. I NEVER MOVED from that position because we caught fish all day. Some fish I hooked bad enough that they would have died if I released them. The family was cooking Fajitas so I kept my limit and added a catch and cook clip at the end. Big Lake Is a truly beautiful place! It was a ton of fun with amazing scenery.
