Reflecting on the Journey 🌟

The past 1.5 years have been a survival journey, a path where I've placed one foot in front of the other. While positive changes abound, the road has been etched with pain and loneliness.

Church Hurt 💔

At the core, I've acknowledged being in the wrong spiritual space. The space's shortcomings matter less than the corrosive views it instilled. Mindfulness in our environments is crucial; our hearts are the source from which everything flows. When bitterness and resentment take root, what fruit will we bear in the name of being "obedient Christians"?

It's not about others' failings but the impact of neglecting our hearts. My encouragement is to be wiser than I was. Confront corrosive behavior early, explore its source, seek help, and prevent bitterness from taking root.

Personal Growth 🌱

In the last 1.5 years, I've seen myself more clearly. Despite thinking of myself as kind, I discovered a tendency to gossip – a subtle arrogance in thinking I know better. This realization led to separating from relationships where I exhibited my worst behavior.

Halting certain behaviors is good, but addressing the heart is even better. These years have been a blessing, allowing me to meet both the light and shadow sides of my personality. Grateful for the women around me holding space for this journey, providing safety and support.

Marriage Insights 💑

This self-discovery extends to my marriage, confronting aspects misaligned with my wishes. The created space allows for transparency, honesty, and acceptance of imperfections. A healthy relationship with oneself is foundational to healthy connections with others.
