Louisburg Library happenings this month!

This is the calendar for February 2024 meals at the Senior Center. Please call one day in advance to reserve your choice. Remember you can schedule all of your meals at one time and they will be delivered on the particular day of the meal. You can also order multiple dishes of one item and they will all be delivered on the particular day. Please call the Senior Center at 91-837-5113.

Transportation provided by our Senior Center - Bus leaves at 1 PM

"We will be taking down the Christmas tree / decorations at the Clubhouse on Friday morning at 10:00. Anyone is welcome to come and assist or just visit (or whistle) while we work."

Senior Center Activities for January

Meal Calendar for January 2024 at the Senior Center. Be sure to call before 11 AM the day before to reserve your meal.

For those of you who do not know this, you can order your meals in advance and pick up at the center or eat it there on the day that it is served.

Also, you can order several of the same meals and they will be reserved for you on the day that it is served.

If Chicken Fried Chicken (this month it is being served on January 17) is your favorite, order several the day before (you can eat there if you want) and then take multiple meals home with you for future use. They are packaged for freezing. Just microwave at a later date!

REMINDER - THE SENIOR CENTER WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY DECEMBER 25 AND TUESDAY DECEMBER 26
December 27 to December 29 Activities -
Wednesday December 27 - Chair Yoga at 9 AM followed by Music with Dennis Cook at 11 AM. Lunch will be Swedish Meatballs, with rice, corn and pears ($4 donation).
Thursday December 28 - Bingo at 10:30 followed by lunch of Lasagna rolls, Italian veggies and mixed fruit ($4 donation)
Friday December 29 - Lunch of Vegetable beef stew, sweet roll and sliced peaches ($4 donation). followed by Dominos at 1 PM.

Please join us at the Senior Center on Wednesday December 20 for a Christmas Celebration. The staff will be creating a wonderful event! Thanks to Rhonda, Wayne, Pat, Beverly, Lori and all of the dedicated volunteers for their efforts.

A huge thank you to the Louisburg High School FFA for donating this fruit to the Senior Center! We are distributing it to all of guests as well as including it in the Meals on Wheels food packages that we prepare each day! A special thank you to Jim Morgan, the FFA sponsor for thinking of us!!

Another busy week at the Senior Center!

Monday Dec 11 - Wii Bowling practice at 10 AM. We need bowling participants to practice and come with us to North Point next Monday

Monday Dec 11 - Holly McClain from the Library will join us at 11:30 with her series of "Remembering" - this month is all about gifts - ones you may have received or given.

Tuesday December 12 - Bingo at 10:30

Wednesday December 13 - Blood Pressure Checks at 10 AM

Wednesday December 13 - Great music with the Blue River Band at 10:30. Come and enjoy and stay for lunch! Great chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and cranberry apple salad. Call by Tuesday morning at 913-837-5113 to reserve your spot ($4 donation)

Thursday December 14 - Bingo at 10:30

Friday December 15 - Nail trimming with Kim Mills at 10 AM

Friday December 15 - Dominoes at 1 PM

Stay on Wednesday after listening to Joetta for lunch. This is Friendship Day with a special meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes/gravy, corn, banana pudding. Please call the center (913-837-5113) by Tuesday at 10:30 to reserve your spot ($4 donation).
