Having read up about the and the work that has been involved in to encourage more young people from diverse backgrounds to become part of the world of polo - whilst creating opportunities for them - it was quite something to go and watch the polo!

The games, the chukkas, players and the beautiful horses 💛. The conversations were good, learnt a little bit more about “The Sport of Kings” (it’s quite different watching it LIVE and not on tv) and even our highveld showers behaved a little bit.

Whether in Plett Bay or here in Joburg, the next time you hear that is taking place - be sure to go!

One of my favourite moments towards the end of 2024 was spent with the most incredible women at the annual gathering.

It was the pause I both needed and deeply felt, and I still do now. The discussions, topics, laughs, lessons shared, the tough questions and answers. It really was an exchange.

This was ’s second gathering. Her first one being when lockdown was a thing and we gathered virtually 🤍

I had the honour of being Programme Director at the Mpumalanga Green Innovation Challenge event in Mbombela last week Tuesday. The Top 12 Finalists pitched for top honours on the day and they were all fantastic!

The speakers from government, sponsors, and committed partners working to advance sustainable growth in Mpumalanga touched on the themes of inclusion, intention, dialogue and partnership - and how to make them tangible for all, especially communities in their everyday lives.

It was encouraging to hear more about the necessary and at times challenging work being done on ensuring that there is an inclusive approach taken to Mpumalanga’s green transition, ensuring both economic resilience and climate action.

Thank you to the organising team, partners and finalists for a wonderful time spent, learning from and being inspired by you 💫

My parents and some of my family who watched me grow up, especially in the early years always tell me that I was a quiet child…Adult me is still on the quiet side but sometimes, just sometimes, the person in these pics makes an appearance…nerves, excitement, curiosity and all.
