P***s Size: Bigger not always better.

Researchers report today that p***s size does matter to women — though within limits. The finding suggests that women’s preferences could have fuelled the evolution of the human male p***s, which is longer and thicker than that of any other primate.

Male genitalia evolve quickly. They diversify earlier than other physical traits, with a wide variation in size and shape across the animal kingdom that can reveal a species’ evolutionary pressures. Biologists have puzzled, therefore, over what factors might have caused the human p***s to become so large.

Now, a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences finds that women consider p***s size and height equally when judging men’s attractiveness, but both exhibit diminishing returns with greater size and are less important than a masculine body type1.

The findings add to a debate that began in 1966 when s*xuality researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson declared p***s size to be unimportant to most females. Subsequent studies of women’s preferences, based on questionnaires or line drawings, have reported conflicting results.

For the latest study, researchers developed computer-generated images of males that varied independently in three factors: height, shoulder-to-hip ratio and p***s length. A sample of 105 heteros*xual Australian women each viewed life-sized projections of 53 of the images and rated their s*xual attractiveness.

The data showed an upside-down-U-shaped curve for each trait. The women considered taller men with a more masculine body type (indicated by a larger shoulder-to-hip-size ratio) and longer p***s to be more attractive, but not without limits — there were diminishing returns for extreme size, and men with substantially larger-than average features were not found much more attractive than those with only slightly above-average features.

Study leader Brian Mautz, a biologist now at the University of Ottawa in Canada, says that there seems to be a ceiling effect for each trait — a point of theoretical peak attractiveness, beyond which women’s ratings will begin to decline. The team’s model predicts that the most attractive p***s would measure 12.8–14.2 centimetres in its flaccid state. Mautz notes that this ideal size is relatively closer to the population average (of 9 centimetres) than are the predicted ideals for the other traits, implying that women prefer more extreme shoulder-to-hip ratio and tallness but less extreme p***s size.

Other researchers say that the findings are an important first step but fall short of showing a role for s*xual selection in the evolution of human p***s size, a point that Mautz concedes. “It's hard to extrapolate much from the data,” he says. ”More work needs to be done to connect the dots.”

Alan Dixson, a primatologist at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, says that the research should be broadened to include women from other countries and cultures — especially those from indigenous populations in which full clothing is not usually worn.

More crucially, female preference needs to be tied to reproductive success, says William Eberhard, an evolutionary biologist at the University of Costa Rica in San Pedro. Women may prefer a large p***s when choosing a partner, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into more offspring who carry those genes.

Still, the findings have immediate implications for s*xual medicine and counselling, says Geoffrey Miller, an evolutionary psychologist at New York University. “This research will allow an uncomfortable subject to become a legitimate topic of discussion.”

12 Reasons You Should Have S*x with Your Partner Every Day.

Are you stressed? Struggling to sleep? Turns out there are a number of ailments that can be cured simply by having s*x regularly. Here are twelve reasons why you and your partner should be having s*x daily!

1. S*x Reduces Stress.
If you’ve had a long day at work or you’re simply feeling a little overwhelmed, then s*x will help you relax and reduce your stress levels! During s*x our bodies produce dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin which together help us to de-stress, increases our natural happiness levels and enhances desire.

2. S*x Is An Enjoyable Exercise.
When faced with the word ‘workout’ many of us will recoil in horror, unless of course that workout involves s*x. Throughout s*x our bodies are continually experiencing physiological changes that are consistent with an exercise routine. Our breathing rates rise which in turn burns calories, which means that if you have s*x just three times a week you can burn around 7,500 calories a year. That’s the same as running 75 miles!
‘S*x is a really great form of exercise,’ says Joseph J. Pinzone, MD. CEO and medical director of Amai Wellness. ‘Like with exercise, consistency helps maximize the benefits.’

3. S*x Helps Your Immune System.
Researchers at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania found that their students who stated they had s*x at least twice a week had higher levels of particular antibodies than those who had no s*x at all. During s*x, antigens like immunoglobulin A are released which are proven to fight the common cold and even flu! Even more good news: the more frequently you engage in s*x the more antigens will be released and the healthier you’ll get.

4. S*x Lowers Your Blood Pressure.
Even if it’s just a quickie, some forms of physical contact can improve your blood pressure significantly. A study conducted by the University of Paisley found that s*x reduces diastolic blood pressure – which is the bottom number on a blood pressure reading – making us healthier all around!

5. S*x Helps a Healthy Heart.
As our bodies burn calories, it also improves our heart health. Researchers from the New England Research Institute found that men are 45% less likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases if they have regular s*x.

6. S*x Helps Pain Relief.
If you’re experiencing aches, pains or migraines then s*x may be a better form of pain relief than pills! Arthritis specialist Dr. George Erlich conducted a study on his patients and found that those who had s*x often experienced significantly less pain than their counterparts who went without.

7. S*x Ensures Regular Periods.
If your periods are a bit erratic, it could be down to a stressful lifestyle. As mentioned previously, s*x reduces stress and so will also have an impact on your menstrual cycle!

8. S*x Creates Powerful Pelvic Muscles.
As well as quads, back and core muscles, s*x also works out your pelvic muscles! Is there a better way of building muscle? I don’t think so! By creating stronger pelvic muscles you also benefit by having better or***ms according to the National Health Service (NHS).
‘For women, as well as helping improve symptoms of urinary incontinence, strong pelvic floor muscles can also mean increased sensitivity during s*x and stronger or***ms,’ the NHS states. ‘Pelvic floor exercises can also benefit men with problems such as erectile dysfunction (difficulty getting or keeping an er****on) and urinary incontinence’.

9. S*x Reduces The Risk Of Cancer.
Particularly for men, regular s*x reduces the chances of developing cancer. In an Australian study published the Journal of the American Medical Association, it was found that men who ej******ed at least 21 times a month were much less likely to suffer form prostate cancer.
10. S*x Makes You Sleep Well.

Like exercise, s*x increases your heart rate which leads to relaxation. In addition to this, it’s common knowledge that male ej*******on leads to lethargy which can make men extremely sleepy after s*x.
‘After or**sm, the hormone prolactin is released,’ says Sheenie Ambardar, MD. a psychiatrist in West Hollywood, California, ‘which is responsible for the feelings of relaxation and sleepiness after s*x.’

11. S*x Makes You Look 10 Years Younger.
Having s*x three times a week can apparently make you appear 10 years younger than your real age! In his book Secrets of the Superyoung, Scottish researcher and clinical neuropsychologist at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, David Weeks states: “It’s good for you to have good s*x.” What more incentive do you need?

12. S*x Lengthens Your Life.
The ultimate culmination of all of these wonderful, positive effects regular s*x has on our health and minds is that we will add years to our life spans. In fact, a study published in the British Medical Journal revealed that male participants who had s*x regularly lived twice as long as those who rarely got any action!
So there you have it: there are officially no downsides to having s*x regularly, so get at it!

10 Benefits of Sleeping Naked

Sleeping is one of the most important things we do every night. Getting the right amount of sleep has an untold number of health benefits and not getting enough sleep is a serious problem in many countries around the world. Did you know that you can get additional benefits by sleeping naked? Here are some benefits of sleeping in the n**e:

1. It is easier.
When you don’t have to worry about sleeping in clothes, things start to get easier. You don’t have to buy pajamas, which can save you money. You have less clothes to wash and less clothes to put away. You may have to clean your bed sheets more often, but not nearly as often as you’d have to wash your pajamas when you run out.
2. It forces you to be ready to go more often.
Some people get off of work, change into their pajamas, and use this as an excuse to stay home the rest of the evening. This can lead to a more sedentary lifestyle, which has been attributed to things like weight gain. When you keep your regular clothes on, you tend to go out more often and that’s a good thing.

3. It can make you feel happier and more free.
Just imagine the feeling of laying in bed naked. You’re free of your pants and underwear. Women, you’re not wearing a constrictive bra. It’s just you sandwiched between two cool sheets. The feeling just makes you want to smile and it makes you feel more free. Everyone can use that kind of good feeling every now and then, and it may even help you be happier as a person.

4. Skin-on-skin contact is the best.
If you’re married, or living with your significant other, sleeping naked gives a greater chance of skin-on-skin contact, especially when it comes to cuddling. This kind of contact can also lead to a more active s*x life. All of this releases copious amounts of oxytocin, which is the neurotransmitter that helps you feel those good feelings about your significant other.

5. It could lead to better sleep.
Let’s revisit the scenario I described above. There are no drawstrings or clothes getting tangled in sheets. You don’t have to worry about shirts getting twisted. All of these distractions go away when you sleep naked and it may help you get better, deeper sleep. You don’t need science to tell you that better, deeper sleep only helps you be healthier.

6. It can help your skin.
For once your body gets to breathe. Your private parts, armpits, and feet are generally restricted all day and are often covered by multiple layers, even in the summer time. Give those parts a chance to air out and breathe. This can lower the risk of skin diseases, like athlete’s foot, that result from wet, restricted skin.

7. Helps you regulate your cortisol.
Cortisol is a very strange chemical in the body but it can do a lot of damage. When you sleep naked, it helps keep your body temperature at the optimal ranges so your body can better create cortisol. If you sleep overheated your cortisol levels tend to stay high, even after you wake up. This can lead to increased anxiety, cravings for bad food, weight gain, and more terrible things. Sleep naked so you can keep your body temperature down and sleep well so your body can properly produce and regulate cortisol.

8. Balances your melatonin and growth hormone.
Continuing along that same vein, keeping your sleeping environment below 70 degrees (F) every night can help your body regulate its melatonin and growth hormone levels. These chemicals help the body do things like prevent aging and are essential to good health. When you sleep in clothes, your body heats up and prevents effective use of these hormones. In other words, sleeping with clothes on makes you grow old faster.

9. It can keep your s*x organs happier.
For men, the cooler sleeping conditions allows your te**es to remain at a cooler temperature. This helps keep your s***m healthy and your reproductive systems functioning as normal. For women, the cooler and more airy sleeping conditions can actually help prevent yeast infections. Yeast grows better in warm, moist conditions. When it’s cooler and dryer, the growth of yeast is prevented.

10. Sleeping in the summer is more bearable.
Summertime is a tricky time to get good sleep. If you don’t have air conditioning, then you may find your bedroom a bit stuffy at night. Shedding those bedtime clothes can help the bedroom feel more comfortable. You may even be able to turn the A/C off on those cooler nights, which can save you a few bucks on your electricity bill. Don’t wake up drenched in sweat again because your thermostat is downstairs and the hot air expands up to your bedroom where the thermostat can’t read the warm temperatures.
With these tips in mind, it’s time to start taking off your clothes at night! Of course, there are times where clothes are preferable. If you are ill or it’s cold outside, then you should sleep with clothes on to help you stay warm and prevent further illness. Otherwise, go commando!

Foods for harder er****ons
Our s*x life is something we'd all like to improve. There's no shame admitting it. And for many men, the prospect of 'going soft' is a real concern.
But there is some good news, which should put an end to your worries.
According to a new study, which was conducted over a 30 year time frame by scientists at Harvard and the University of East Anglia, men who enjoyed a regular glass of red wine, and plenty of citrus fruits and berries such as strawberries, blueberries, apples and pears were less likely to develop erectile dysfunction.
Researchers found just three or four portions or glasses of flavonoid-rich food and drink was associated with a reduced risk of the problem by up to 21%.
"This is the first study to look at the association between flavonoids and erectile dysfunction, which affects up to half of all middle-aged and older men," said lead researcher, Professor Aedin Cassidy. "Men who regularly consumed foods high in these flavonoids were less likely to suffer erectile dysfunction. In terms of quantities, we're talking just a few portions a week."
Now of course, we know not everyone enjoys a glass of red, and that there are some who don't eat enough fruit, despite what we've just told you. But fear not, because as ever, MH has you covered.
Here are the 10 foods you need to know about if you want keep hard when the going gets rough.
1. Coffee
The caffeine kick from a cup of Java boosts your metabolism, gets your blood pumping and could also enhance endurance by releasing fat stores, giving you the energy to last all night.
(Related: 6 ways to level-up your coffee)
2. Oysters
Yes, there is a reason for their s*xy reputation. Oysters are rich in the mineral zinc and vitamin B6, both of which are vital for testosterone, without which you’d have the s*x drive of a dead slug. If the thought of grey shellfish gloop sliding down your throat makes you gag, boost your testosterone with nuts and seeds instead.

3. Chillies
Spice up your love life with chillies. When your face flushes after eating a curry, that’s the blood vessels expanding thanks to the effect of the chillies. And it’s not just the blood vessels in your face that get the boost. Biologically speaking a hard-on is simple hydraulics – more liquid (blood) being forced into little tubes (blood vessels) in your p***s – so what you need is a strong heart and smooth, healthy pipework.

4. Bananas
Hard men have healthy hearts, so eat bananas for potassium, which is great for your heart and circulation. Getting enough potassium helps keep your sodium levels under control, stopping your blood pressure from hitting the roof and reducing your risk of heart problems. If you eat too much salt and don’t like bananas, get your potassium from oranges or jacket potatoes (the mineral’s in the skin).
5. Salmon
The omega-3 fatty acids in oily fish make the blood less sticky, enhancing blood flow to the parts that matter. Eat fish like salmon, mackerel, trout and fresh tuna twice a week to keep your arteries well-oiled.
(Related: the easiest way to give her an or**sm in just 15 minutes!)

6. Pork
Contrary to popular belief, the p***s does not have a mind of its own. To make it a fine and upstanding specimen, your neurons must be co-ordinated with military precision. You need thiamine, aka vitamin B1, for a healthy nervous system, so eat pork to help fire your swimmers in the right direction. Can’t or don’t eat pig? Get your B from beans and wholemeal bread.

7. Cherries
Cherries are packed full of anthocyanins, colourful plant chemicals which protect your artery walls, helping prevent the fatty plaques that lead to atherosclerosis, or clogged arteries. Don’t fancy cherries? Berries, or brightly coloured fruit such as peaches, nectarines and plums, will all keep your arteries smooth as a baby’s nether regions.
(Related: drive her wild with aphrodisiac asparagus gnocchi)

8. Onions
The phytochemical allicin in onions and garlic thins the blood and enhances your circulation, as well as making it less likely to clot and clog. Avoid uns*xy onion-breath by chewing parsley or peppermints.

9. Wine
Wine – especially red wine – is a great source of the antioxidant phytochemical resveratrol, which helps open the arteries by enhancing the production of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide allows the blood vessels to expand, and this is how Vi**ra works. But while the little blue pill only works on tiny blood vessels, resveratrol helps your main arteries too. Make sure you stop at one or two glasses of wine – too much alcohol leads to the dreaded droop.
10. Porridge
Porridge isn’t s*xy, but the soluble fibre in oatmeal mops up cholesterol, helping keep your blood vessels smooth and stretchy. So get your oats!

Watery Semen and Low S***m Count- Caused by Over Ma********on

Dozens of males email the Herballove editorial team with questions about their s***m-related problems. Some notice discoloration; others, funny smells. Whether it’s the smell or the look, the health of your s***m depends on three factors: age, diet and ej*******on frequency. Older males tend to notice a decrease in semen production, while younger men with poor diets experience discoloration and awkward smells. But it’s the men who over ma******te that experience the least common issue: watery semen.

Low and Watery
From testosterone and nitric oxide to dopamine and serotonin, the body requires neurochemicals to help keep the s*x drive alive. Each time a man ej******es, the body loses a small portion of these chemicals. Over ma********on causes a huge loss in testosterone, HGH, DHEA and prostaglandin E1 and E3, chemicals essential to proper s***m production.

During hormonal imbalances, the testicles cannot gain enough nutrients because of damaged liver production, while the prostate cannot produce enough s***m and the white, alkaline liquid for s***m to swim in.

Why so Watery?
The watery residue is due to an increase in the prostate’s production of the clear, alkaline liquid. Each time you ej*****te, your body losses a portion of neurochemicals while the ejaculatory duct weakens. When the ejaculatory duct, also known as the ejaculatory valve, loses its strength, more of the clear, alkaline liquid is released. Meanwhile, the testicles receive a lower amount of testosterone. With testosterone levels lowered, the testicles cannot produce enough semen. Instead, the prostate still exudes its portion of the clear liquid, but the testicles cannot provide its share of semen production. The outcome causes your ej*******ons to look watery.

Improving S***m Potency
The body needs a rest from s*x and ma********on. Next, try Natural Ways To Increase Male Fertility & Semen Volume that helps improve testosterone, nitric oxide, HGH while balancing pH levels to restore healthy semen and to strength the ejaculatory valve. Thanks to ingredients such as Mucuna pruniens, Cistanche and Saw Palmetto, men can experience an improvement in their semen health and a reduction in precum.

14 Ways You Can Tell He's 'Husband Material'

One of my closest friends' relationship is still relatively new, but she already has a feeling about this one. Most likely because the guy has qualities that make him primo, grade-A husband material. Qualities that anyone might notice and say, "Wow, what a mensch!" but that one lucky woman recognizes as reasons to marry the man!

In an effort to nail those reasons down, our friends at Your Tango actually surveyed mental health professionals about what actually makes a man husband material. While the ability to communicate, honesty, and reliability came out as top traits, and those make perfect sense, there are many of other characteristics that make a guy a keeper. Without further ado ...
1. He's supportive no matter what. Whether you're struggling with your career or health or any other personal challenge, we all want a man who is going to be encouraging, stick by our sides, and want to support us financially, emotionally, etc. even when he would have no need to.
2. He's loyal. Obviously someone who would never cheat or sell you out, but also ...
3. ... not a mama's boy. No one wants to spend a lifetime with a man who will repeatedly put his mom before you.
4. But he's not disrespectful of his mom. Your Tango Expert Jennifer Elizabeth Masters warns, "If a man is disrespectful of his mother, he will disrespect you. If he does not get along with his mother, he is a bad risk."
5. He's family-oriented. Even if you don't necessarily want to have kids, you probably want to marry a guy you can build a home and a life with. And who prioritizes togetherness with loved ones. Every time I see how important it is to be close with his family, I'm reminded what a wonderful husband my fiance will be.
6. He's patient. File a guy with a hair-trigger temper under "do not want."
7. He would drop what he's doing to help little old ladies or children or anyone in need cross the street. Self-explanatory.
8. He's fun to be around. Life's short, but also too long to be bored by your partner.
9. He's s*xy. It never hurts to find your man irresistibly attractive.
10. He's flexible. Some people are just naturally more stubborn, but a marriage is a two-way street, so he's gotta be willing to compromise.
11. He's compassionate. Being able to sympathize and empathize with others proves he's got a huge heart.
12. He's intellectually curious. Gotta love a man who never wants to stop learning. Keeps the conversation flowing and life exciting!
13. He's motivated and strong. Conviction, drive, passion, etc. isn't just hot but it'll help him push through life's adversities.
14. He helps you tackle your to-do list without being asked. He'll take your little fluffy lap dog out for a walk or go get your car's oil changed, just to make your life less stressful.

Common Causes of Vaginal Pain

Vaginal pain or lower pelvic pain could have a physical source, such as endometriosis, or an emotional source, such as the after-effects of r**e. Find out what could be the source of your pain
Vaginal pain or lower pelvic pain can occur for many reasons and under a variety of circumstances — during s*x, during menstruation, and while urinating. Though va**nal pain or discomfort can happen without s*xual activity, it often occurs during in*******se, and the reasons for the va**nal pain are often s*xually related. Vaginal pain and lower pelvic pain can result in , such as a low libido (s*x drive) or an inability to achieve or**sm due to the discomfort.

Because there are so many possible causes of va**nal pain or pelvic pain and because treatment can vary widely, getting a specific diagnosis and the appropriate care can help you resolve the problem and make s*x enjoyable again.

The Reasons Behind Vaginal Pain and Lower Pelvic Pain
"There are many causes for va**nal pain," says marriage and family therapist Isadora Alman, MFT (Masters of Family Therapy), a board-certified s*xologist and a psychotherapist in private practice in Alameda, Calif. Causes include:
• A h***n that hasn't been completely penetrated
• Inflammation from s*xually transmitted diseases
• An acute infection like vaginitis
Other potential causes of va**nal pain and lower pelvic pain can include:
• Vaginal dryness
• Infections or other problems with the digestive system, especially the bowels or the bladder
• Strains, sprains, or weakness of the back
• Fibromyalgia, a chronic widespread pain syndrome
• Cysts on the ovaries
• An ectopic pregnancy
• Fibroids
• Endometriosis

These issues can cause va**nal pain when you’re not engaging in s*x, but the thrusting movements of the p***s during s*x may make your va**nal pain considerably worse.

Dyspareunia is the medical term for va**nal pain that occurs during in*******se. It can include lower pelvic pain, pain that extends further inside the pelvis, and external pain around the ge****ls. The types of va**nal pain experienced during s*x or even after s*xual in*******se include:
• Cramping
• A sharp, shooting pain
• A painful, burning sensation

Vaginal pain isn’t due only to physical problems. S*xual trauma or serious s*xual problems within a relationship can lead to tensing of the va**nal muscles during s*x, says Alman. And that can lead to painful in*******se as well.

Getting the Right Diagnosis and Treatment
A doctor can perform a pelvic exam to find out if abnormalities, infections, or other problems with the pelvis or va**na could be causing the pain. She may use a cotton swab to gently touch the ge****ls to identify any areas of pain. She'll also ask a lot of questions about how and when your va**nal pain and pelvic pain occur.
Some diagnostic tests may be performed, including:
• Colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy to examine sections of the colon
• Barium e***a, which involves inserting a solution inside the re**um and taking X-rays to look for problems
• CT (computed tomography) scan
• MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan
• Ultrasound of the pelvic organs
• Cystoscopy, which uses a small camera to look at the urethra and bladder.

Depending on the diagnosis, treatments for physical issues could include:
• Pain medications, antibiotics, hormones, or antidepressants
• Surgery to repair abnormalities
• Physical therapy or heat therapy
• Vaginal lubricants
• Acupuncture
• Biofeedback

If no physical cause of the va**nal pain or pelvic pain can be diagnosed, a s*x therapist or couples counselor may be able to help you pinpoint an emotional cause that’s behind the pain. Counseling sessions can help to both diagnose and treat the problem through communication, relaxation, and talking openly about s*x.

Most important, says Alman, is not to try to diagnose va**nal pain by yourself. See your doctor to rule out physical causes, and work with a therapist if you need to address any emotional issues.

7 things you should not tolerate in your marriage

By saying, “I do,” you commit to a lifetime of forgiving and forgetting, but there are a few actions you should never accept or permit in your marriage. Love isn’t always unconditional. If your spouse is behaving in any of these ways, please seek help:

1. Disgust
John Gottman, a foremost expert in the field of marriage and family studies, can predict whether or not a couple will get divorced with 91 percent accuracy. As he observes couples, one of the main communication errors he looks for is contempt. “Contempt” includes “sarcasm, cynicism, name-calling, eye-rolling, sneering, mockery, and hostile humor.” It is essentially reacting with disgust toward your partner. When you show contempt toward your spouse, problems don’t get resolved, and it destroys your husband’s or wife’s self-esteem.

2. S*xually explicit media
Po*******hy powerfully impacts people’s lives and relationships. In fact, scientists found that po*******hy literally changes your brain. In regards to love and s*x, Fight the New Drug explains, “In one of the most comprehensive studies on p**n use ever conducted, researchers found that after being exposed to softcore s*xual material, both men and women were significantly less happy with their partner’s looks, willingness to try new s*x acts, and s*xual performance. Even being exposed to p**n just once can make people feel less in love with their significant other.”

3. Last place
Illness, children and careers often take priority, but spouses shouldn’t always come in last place. If your spouse is consistently paying attention to everyone and everything but you, that is a problem. Partner neglect is a real thing, and it is a silent relationship killer. Our site often gets emails from people who feel abandoned by their husbands or wives. Their stories are heartbreaking. Spouses need to make sure that each other’s needs are being met.

4. Vices
A “vice” includes any immoral conduct. Does your partner lie? Cheat? Steal? Does he or she break the law? Your spouse’s misconduct not only affects their life; it affects your life as well. If your spouse gets sued, goes to jail or goes bankrupt for his or her actions, it is going to follow you wherever you go.

5. Rage
There is a huge difference between anger and rage. Couples are obviously going to get mad or annoyed at each other from time to time. But rage is completely different and much more intense. If your spouse lashes out in uncontrollable hatred and fury, that is neither normal nor healthy.

Lynne Namka, an anger psychologist, warns, “Do not be foolish enough to think you can change another person’s anger patterns. After all, he has had many years to practice them before meeting you. Anger coping patterns lie deep within the psyche and do not change unless the person makes a strong commitment to become a better person.”

6. Cheating
Infidelity is never acceptable. A strong, healthy marriage requires complete faithfulness. Authors Joy and Gary Lundberg explain in their article, “10 ways you are being unfaithful to your spouse and don’t even know it,” that cheating includes flirting with co-workers, confiding to someone of the opposite gender, talking negatively about your spouse, spending time alone with someone of the opposite gender, dressing to attract someone other than your spouse, and withholding s*x as punishment.

7. Hitting
Physical, verbal and emotional abuse are never acceptable in a marriage. If your spouse hits, punches, degrades or humiliates you, get help. Even if you are married, you should never be forced to have s*x against your will.

Severe physical violence is probably more prominent than you think. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Nearly 1 in 4 women (22.3 percent) and 1 in 7 men (14.0 percent) aged 18 and older in the United States have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.” If you aren’t having a problem, there is a good chance that someone around you is.

If you are experiencing any of these problems, don’t give up hope — but get help immediately. Find a counselor or spiritual leader that you can talk to and make the necessary steps to save your marriage or find an escape to leave a harmful situation.
