i’m taking a break.
maybe it was the long, dark winter, or maybe the many days of feeling unable to create. maybe it’s just time to grow a new branch.
i toyed with the idea of announcing this publicly for a couple weeks now, but i’m putting away my lenses for now. i’ll still make calls for TFP models when the inspiration strikes, but my heart is guiding me to retire from traditional kinds of sessions including family, wedding and couples portraiture.
since 2OO7, photography has been a way for me to transmute my imagination into something palpable. i want to let go gently and remain true to my creativity without it becoming a job.
i wanted to thank anyone who’s hired me, referred me, modelled for me on a whim, shared my work, commented on it or felt something from it. that was always the goal: to make you scroll back and take a second look; to tell a story.
thank you for helping me create 15 years’ worth of stories.
