1. winter 2015 Wombat state forest vic. at the time i was ten years old. I was on a one night 4x4 adventure with my father and sister in his ranger, and his mate, mates partner and their 3 kids in their old triton. it would have been around 10pm at night in the dead centre of the forest on an old unused side track, i am unsure of which one. we had pulled up at an intersection to commune and decide what route we should go down. the floodlights on both cars were turned on. in the end they decided to return to the main track. as everyone was talking me and my sister, along with the mates wife in the other car were looking forward and seen a BIG figure with brown fur standing around 2.5 or 3 metres tall dart across the road right near the edge of the range of the spotlights. it was extremely fast, scared the crap out of poor little me. my sister started crying in the back seat. i explained to my father what we saw and he shrugged it off, just kept driving along the track like nothing happened. the mates wife convinced him we should leave pretty quick. she was shook up by it when we all got back to their house.
2. 2020 at the start of the lockdowns in melbourne, between melton, caroline springs and sunbury victoria. i was 15-16 years old. I was driving in my old padoc bomb navara around the perimeter of the farm that me, my mum, sister and stepfather recently moved into. i would drive around it every night to make sure that everything was locked up as we encountered a few trespassers, and i had caught people way out the back of the property in my chicken pens smoking w**d on a few occasions when we first moved in. this night i was driving aling the north side of the property, when the entire path infront of me was blanketed with what looked like this enormous black sheet, would have been 12 metres tall, 5 metres wide just blow across the path infront of me, completely blacked out my headlights for a second as it moved infront of the car. as it moved past the car it lifted straight over the top of a large patch of trees and i did not see it again after that. i turned around and drove straight back to my house in the middle of the property and locked it straight up. told my family what happened and they said they never saw it go past the house. the next day i went out to the same area and found that a large pile of dead trees i had gathered to burn off had completely shifted, and now there were 3 or 4 smaller piles of dead trees scattered around the same area.
3. 2020 in the lockdown. between melton, sunbury and caroling springs. i was driving down my driveway that is a few kilometres long around 9pm at night in my navara to pick up some pizza we got delivered. around half way i looked to the left and saw behind the tree line this large thing that looked the size of a horse, but had no fur, it was pale, and looked like it had scales. it looked at me or the car or whatever in my direction. it had a mortifying face, it sort of looked human but extremely wide. i was driving at around 100 kph so i went straight past it and never saw it again. scared the hell out of me, i did not see it on the way back. i had a look around the next day and didnt see anything around.
4. november 2023, hopefield road between corowa nsw and goombargana. ming ming light encounter. around 10 pm me and 4 friends were travelling to corowa after spending the afternoon in wagga wagga. 3 friends were in one car, a holden cruze. me and only one other friend were in my falcon as i was on my victorian red p plates. we turned onto the road headed southbound, i lost sight of the others behind me. they pulled up because a huntsman was in the car. i turned back around and pulled up to find them freaking out running around outside the car to try and kill the thing. they lost it in the air vents. One friend started feeling really uneasy, then me also and we convinced them all to return to the cars and keep driving. we were in the middle of nowhere, not a soul around for miles but we both felt that something was out there watching us in the dark. we got in the cars and kept going, i was infront as i had spotlights on my car. around half an hour down the road my friends behind me radioed me and said they were seeing the lights dart through the padocs. no houses around, no towns nearby, no other light sources. the lights were just ahead far ahead of us keeping our pace. me and my friend then locked eyes on them and started watching them as we drove along. there would have been 2 or 3 of the lights. as we kept driving they were staying close to the ground, darting around across either side of the road. i believe my friend might have taken a video but i will have to check with him. as we got into town we lost sight of them. good way to scare a bunch of blokes for the rest of the night 😂
