Here’s a random collection of 10 photos mostly just to share a thought:

Bringing CRAWL TV back and getting the Crawl Guys all on board for crazy goals and fun adventures has been the best part of 2024 so far. We have been working like crazy, around our jobs, to get videos filmed and edited, to make progress on these jeeps, and to share the sickness with others. I have seen my friends more, shared more laughs, and had more fun than I would have otherwise, and that’s what’s going to keep this all going long term.

The crawl guys are so back. ❤️

There’s so much left to do on the CJ7. At the same time, let’s look at how far we’ve come!

•Removed horrible body lift
•Replaced ugly headlights
•plugs, wires, cap and rotor
•every filter that exists
•rebuilt rear axle
• Diff covers
•Motor mounts, trans mounts, bump stops
•high steer flip kit
•HD tie rod and drag link
•new bell crank
•exhaust repairs
•full fluids flush
•new rear brakes
•PRP seats and harnesses with custom seat brackets and harness bar
•new steering column and bearings
•new bumper, lighting, and suspension repairs at Ronco
•complete re-wire and 12V accessory outlets added

Here’s some for you today and a little RIP 🪦 to Dozer, the best and worst JKUR I ever owned.

If you could build a newer Jeep from the ground up, what would be your first mod? Obviously, the more you go through the process, the more you know..

My ideas of what is important have changed over the years, and I think the very first thing I would start with is axles. Consider them your foundation and build upward… Something that I did in the wrong order with this Jeep. 🤷‍♂️

I seem to break something else every time I go to fix something, but the rear end of this Jeep is back together again, mostly thanks to and .

I could have stared at those drum brake parts for hours but he knew exactly how they all fit together. 😂

One thing I will always appreciate about my friend is that he keeps me from going too “western” on my projects. I sometimes get to a point where I’m willing to do something the wrong way to get it done and he simply doesn’t allow it . 😂

Also, he is extremely methodical and wants to sandblast and paint every non-machined part that comes out of the vehicle, so things always look brand new when they go back together. That’s what he was doing with my backing plates when I took this photo.

It’s nice having a voice of reason around for when I go into cowboy mode 😂

The gang gets yellowtopped 🔋

This was just about the only productive thing that happened in the shop last night. More to come on that, but basically everything we pulled out of the rear axle was bad and I have more parts on the way.

This is one big step closer to off-roading these jeeps reliably through the Rubicon Trail!
