Katelyn joined us on Wednesday’s Market Day Report to discuss her upcoming episode of Dirt Diaries: The FarmHER + RanchHER Podcast and share her ag journey.

Divorce. Starting over. Grieving the life you thought you’d have.

Victoria Robinson of Black Rock Farm knows what it’s like to rebuild from the ground up — and how heavy that process can be. But in the middle of loss, she found her way back to what she loved most: cows, the land, and creating something of her own.

With her Highlands by her side, she’s built an agritourism business that not only gave her a second chance, but also gives her community a place to connect with agriculture.

On this week’s episode of The Rural Woman Podcast, Victoria opens up about grief, resilience, and how sometimes starting from scratch leads you exactly where you’re meant to be.

Ep. 230 - The Beauty and Boundaries of Agritourism with Victoria Robinson on The Rural Woman Podcast is available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your pods.

Hardworking, inspiring, and straight-up amazing—yep, that sums up the women featured on The Rural Woman Podcast (and also this review 🥹).

Thank you, farmwifeontario, for this kind note and for showing up each week to listen, learn, and celebrate the stories of rural women. Your words are the fuel that keep this show rollin’—along with caffeine and stubborn determination.

If these episodes have inspired you too, I’d be over the moon if you left a review wherever you tune in. It helps new folks find the podcast and gives me one more reason to happy dance in the kitchen.

Y’all, these reviews… I’m not misty, you’re misty! 😭💛

To cfenn, montanaranchwife, and Rmilbar22—thank you for tuning in, cheering me on, and reminding me why this podcast exists in the first place. Whether you're neck-deep in ag or just curious about life beyond the city limits, your words mean the world.

If The Rural Woman Podcast has helped you feel seen, connected, or just a little less alone in your journey, would you mind taking a minute to leave a review? It helps more folks find the show—and let’s be honest, it gives me that emotional boost when the going gets rough.

“Guilt-free farmgirl listening.”
Sea, I don’t know if you meant to name my next memoir, but here we are.

The Rural Woman Podcast was never meant to be a one-size-fits-all kind of space. It’s a place where all kinds of farming, ranching, and rural life stories can live—without judgment, comparison, or guilt.

If the show has helped you stand a little taller in your own boots, I’d love to hear about it. Leave a review wherever you listen—it helps new folks find the show and reminds me that this work is worth every early morning edit and late-night upload.

This week on The Rural Woman Podcast, we’re joined by Lindsay Kozakevich — a third-generation farmer from northeastern Alberta whose story is all about resilience and finding your place in industries where you’re often the only woman in the room.

Lindsay shares how growing up on the family farm shaped her work ethic and how that foundation carried her through nearly 15 years in male-dominated trades, where earning respect wasn’t easy but never stopped her from climbing the ladder.

We also talk about what led her back to the farm she once couldn’t wait to leave, how she’s built strong emotional connections with her livestock, and the steps she’s taken to further her education and grow her confidence.

Lindsay’s story is filled with lessons about holding your ground, trusting your gut, and building a life that feels true to you.

Ep. 228 Lessons from Leaving—and Coming Back with Lindsay Kozakevich is available on The Rural Woman Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen to podcasts.

“Ag Supports Ag.” It’s more than a tagline—it’s the heartbeat of this whole thing.

This review from idahochelc hit me right in the feels. If this podcast has shown you that you're not alone in ag, reminded you of your worth, or just made chore time go by a little quicker—I’d be so grateful if you’d leave a review too.

It helps more rural women find the show, and truthfully? It keeps me going on the days I wonder if hitting publish is making a difference. (Spoiler: it is—thanks to you.)

Leave a review wherever you listen, and you'll hear me getting all misty reading them on an upcoming episode.

Sylvia VonGunten, one of the incredible women I spoke with at the Advancing Women Conference shared a goal that really stuck with me: to stop seeking validation from others and instead truly believe she deserves to be where she is.

This is such a good reminder that confidence isn’t something we wait for, it’s something we build from the inside out.

We all deserve to show up, speak up, and take our place at the table.
