RIM FM 100.1 has been transmitting since the 17th of March, 2001.
Our 1st program was presented on air by the late Rob Bellchambers (President) and we are situated in the grounds of the Fassifern Community Centre (Carinity) in the cosy little town of Boonah located in South East Queensland, Australia.
Rim FM 100.1 is for the community, by the community. We are run by members who have dedicated themselves to bringing a local radio station that services the Scenic Rim and beyond.
What we provide
Throughout the week, RIM FM 100.1 covers just about all genres of music from country to classical, contemporary to folk, bluegrass to pop, plus latest releases and a wide range of Independent labels and artists.
News is covered each hour and each presenter brings in their own unique taste of music, interviews, covering of local events, local history, all with a wide range of topics.
Each morning you can catch all your headlines, Queensland News, Air Sport News and World News Monday to Friday. Several Christian programs are also broadcast on Sundays. When there are no presenters on air we have mixed hits playing with news every hour.
Birthday & Anniversary Calls
Every morning Monday through to Sunday at 7:30 AM, we have birthday and anniversary calls that can be announced for that special person in your life. You can even choose a favourite song request to go with it.
Plus, each person with a special call during the week automatically enters into our Friday draw where they could win a Birthday Cake (for Birthdays) or Coffee and Muffin for Two (Anniversaries). In addition each month’s birthday calls (one entry per person) will go into a Second Chance Draw on the last Friday of each month to win a $40 bistro voucher from our sponsors.
Contact the station on 5463 1228 during the breakfast programs to register your birthday/anniversary calls today. Alternatively, you can use the contact page form but please allow us up to 2 days notice to ensure your call is announced in time.
Buy, Sell & Swap
Buy, Sell & Swap is our free community trading post. From all types of furniture, to animals, to cars, caravans, trucks and other farm equipment. Trade anything you want to buy, sell or even swap each Saturday morning.
