Tomorrow @ 7pm we have a VERY SPECIAL LIVE ZOOM EPISODE w/ guest Sara Savusa!!
Sara Savusa is a Chicago based actor/improvisor and loves watching historical and period pieces. While a bit of a history nerd, she prefers seeing stories played on screen or on stage to connect and understand what life was like "back then." Sara is excited and relieved to be joining Two Baroque Girls in talking about Emma because in tenth grade she was supposed to do a book report on Emma, but cheated and watched Clueless instead. She feels guilty for receiving an A on that paper.

Join us live tomorrow at 7pm CDT! This week we are talking about Emma!

IT’S FINALLY HERE! EP 5!
This episode we discussed that classic hit, The Other Boleyn Girl, staring Natalie Portman and Scar Jo. There's bushels of dresses, intense starring and, of course, rampant historical inaccuracies. Join us, and our hilarious guest Sean Buckley as we weave through the antics and mayhem of the Tudor Court!

On our podcast all about women in terrible circumstances in terrible times, it's the lovely Sean Buckley!
Sean's love of history has always been more about its "products", like the incredible architecture, the art, the music, etc. The subject of history in school never really interested her, but she thinks that's largely due to how it was presented - rote memorization of dates and facts. Now that it isn't based on a grade, Sean can see how deeply important it is to understand our history in order to continue growing and evolving as people! You can catch Sean Saturday mornings in Storytown Improv at Stage 773!

Ok. Who’s coming with me to see this??

Jane Austen’s beloved novel is now a deliciously charming musical, created by Tony Award-nominated composer and lyricist Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre, Sense and Sensibility, Daddy Long Legs). Privileged, pampered, and preoccupied with romance, Emma Woodhouse indulges in her pastime of misguided match...

Our fabulously funny guest for this past episode was Kristen Aviles!!

You know I hated history the most out of all subjects. I’m glad there are funny podcasts to have me finally learn about things I should already know. Favorite part of history? All things Hamilton. Thanks Hamilton the musical. You won the lottery for Hamilton? Take me please. Kristen Mainly performs with Breakfast of Champions, En Serio, So Sketch, and iOs comedy network Free Trial Run! You can see her at The Countdown hosted by En Serio (Every Sunday at 9:30pm iO). If you want to feel better about yourself, follow her on all social media .

Our bellies are full of sweets and our heads have been clogged with Holiday cheer! So apologies for this late, late episode. Episode 3: The Knight Before Christmas!! With Kristin Avile!

Hot Knights in a Netflix movie? It must be Christmas! Yes, yes it’s corny and, horribly inaccurate but Vanessa Hudgens is making a comeback so we’re doing it anyway! Join us as we jump between 1334 and 2019 Holiday festivities for The Knight Before Christmas! With very special guest, Kristin Avi...

Our third podcast features our V good friend: Cass Maher!!!
Cass is a Chicago comedian, lit buff, and avowéd history nerd. The most exciting thing about history for her is that it's all just storytelling! You can catch her performing at ComdeySportz, with Riff: Chicago's Music Improv Party at iO, or on her podcast Shared History!

Our very first guest is our friend from Comedy Sportz, Sarah Murphy!
Sarah is not the biggest history buff, but she can't say no to the chance to do a podcast with friends! If there is any part history she knows the most about, it would be true crime cases of the US, though this poison dress scheme is a new one for her. She can be seen in Bestworld at the Annoyance Theater, Tuesdays at 9:30pm!
