AD: Had the best time this weekend! I took DART to meet a few of my friends for lunch in Las Colinas. DART made the experience so easy! I didn’t have to stead about parking and could give my friends an accurate time of arrival. The Orange Line placed me just minutes away from where we were meeting. After enjoying lunch with a beautiful view of the canal, we explored the new urban district that is still expanding. We are already looking forward to riding DART together to continue our exploration!

Finally, a craft kit that works perfectly for our family! We recently enjoyed creating gooey biopolymer creatures with Scholastic’s Klutz kit. The Bio Chem Creatures kit was a blast and easy for the kids to do on their own. They were learning the life cycle, adaptation and so much more without even realizing it. Now I don’t normally do wash and go’s for any of our hair. It takes too long and once it’s time to restyle it takes too long to detangle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I thought I’d try it out on Kai’s hair and I’m hooked! Here’s how I achieved this look.

-Detangle with leave in conditioner
-Wash Hair
-Section in 4 parts
-Apply water, Eco gel and setting foam
-Separate and twirl small sections of hair to define curl
-Air Dry or use diffuser

My least favorite part of a project is painting! The prep, the dry time; I’m just so impatient. Building is by far my favorite! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Now that the paint is 90% done ( I still have touch ups) I can install the frame for the shelf. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Mari and I pick out her outfits for the week every Sunday and without even realizing it, we chose fall colors for the first day of fall! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Last week was a little hectic. In between swim meets, tumbling, the kids doctor appointments & basketball practice my husband and I completed this accent wall for a client in 3 days! It would have taken me at least 5 without his help! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

These got a much needed upgrade and it was super easy! The plain white color had to go!

My whole family (maybe except Kai) looks forward to Sunday mornings. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ve been enjoying breakfast in our nook for about 3 weeks now & today I decided to switch up the menu a little by trying ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love that their products are organic & dairy free! I chose the original bananamilk which is made from a base of sunflower seeds and bananas with no added sugars. It also contains real cinnamon! My girls said it reminds them of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. It’s a great source of calcium and a good source of potassium (the bananas 😉). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This nook, this nook. This area is one of the things that sold me on this house! I fell love when I saw it! I have been so excited to work on this space but I’ve been taking my time because I HAVE to execute my vision. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We’re planning a road trip in a few weeks and we just found a great on the go snack to add to the list.

Zellee Organic plant based jello is made with real fruit and contains no added sugar. I honestly thought Kai had phased out of pouch snacks but he clearly loves it. It makes snack time easier for me because I can just hand him a pouch and feel good about what he’s eating. Not to mention I can pick them up in one of my favorite stores ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Did not want to let the week end before sharing that it’s ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Before having kids I never heard much about breastfeeding. I wasn’t breastfed and neither were my siblings. Only after becoming pregnant with my third child did I really decide to dig and do the research for myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I tried with my first two and was so shy about it (It wasn’t something I was familiar with or even seen). With my youngest, I breastfed him for 14 months. All three are healthy and happy but I wish there was more information available when I had my girls. So happy with how things are progressing and wanted to be apart of normalizing breastfeeding in our community. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If I could go back I would tell younger me to stick with it. I fed Kai just about everywhere, on a boat, airplanes, Olive Garden, Target and the list goes on. Fed is best but know that ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of my projects (that’s a little bit further down the list) is vertical panels on the wall behind the bed 🤯 & gorgeous flowing curtains 😍 Oh and I’ll get my husband his lamp for his night stand at some point. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
