TRAINING VACANCY
MHFICID in collaboration with Global Health Work Force (GHWF) is this year 2021 want to train and deploy 3000 assistant community nurses in various health centers across Malawi, this has been arranged to increase number of health staff in combating the covid-19 pandemic. The training is for 6 months
Duties of community nurse assistant during this covid-19 pandemic
A. Deliver care and comfort to patients during this covid19 pandemic
B. Respond to health needs and risks of the individuals
C. Evaluate health status of patients and diagnose illness conditions
D. Take history of patients illness and conduct physical examination
E. Discuss with the other medical team or consulting specialist about patients illness
F. Educate community , patients and their families on infection control, emergency safety methods and nutrition
G. Do others duties assigned by in charge from time to time
REQUIREMENTS
1. MSCE with credit passes in two science subjects
2. Applicants must be male or female age of 16 and not more than 50 years
3. Applicants must be willing to work in remote areas and he/she will be posted to any district without his/her choice
4. Must have a kind heart to help the patients all the time they need his/her duties

Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (Qech) in Blantyre has in the past 24 hours discharged 30 people who had been diagnosed with Covid-19.

Statistics also indicate that 8 people have died while the hospital also recorded 24 new admissions.

Speaking in an earlier interview, Qech Director Samson Mndolo encouraged people having Covid-19 symptoms to go to the hospital in good time.

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Thyolo Central legislator, Ben Phiri has stepped down from his position as the party’s Director of elections.

In the letter, Phiri indicates to have run out of ideas that could steer the former ruling party, which was recently ousted by Tonse Alliance, back to power.

“I surely cannot claim to have any fresh and viable strategies to spur the party into another victory having lost the past one,” it reads.

According to the letter, which he addressed to the party’s secretary General, his resignation is with immediate effect.

All government offices in Dedza district have been closed today for disinfection after some civil servants tested positive for Covid-19.

District Council spokesperson Yohane Bilesi has confirmed to Zodiak Online Thursday, saying two civil servants have tested positive for the Coronavirus.

According to Bilesi, the offices will be re-opened on Monday 17 August 2020.

The total number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Dedza district is 29

Hours after a tanker overturned and spilled its contents along the Magalasi Road in Balantyre, Capital Oil Refining Industry Ltd (Cori) has warned people who collected crude oil at the accident site not to consume it.

Sales and Marketing Manager for the company, Waseem Jussab, said the crude oil which spilled from the truck was not ready for consumption.

Jussab said the driver of the truck was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for treatment after sustaining minor injuries.

A track belonging to Cori that was coming from Makata Industrial site going to its refining department in Chirimba overturned after failing to negotiate a corner along the Magalasi road.
