Hey everyone! I wanted to share a tool that I've been using for finding participants for my market research - it's called Prolific. If you have a consumer goods product that you're trying to reach the mass market with, Prolific is a great resource for finding the right participants. According to a report by Asana:

52% of us are multitasking during virtual meetings

56% of us feel like we need to respond immediately to notifications

42% of workers experience burnout and imposter syndrome at the same time.

How often do you drop what you're doing to go address that bright red circle that just popped up above your Slack app?

How often do you mindlessly switch back and forth between email -> to-do list -> email -> Slack -> to-do list -> email?

The statistics above that hits me the hardest is that almost half of us are experiencing burnout and imposter syndrome at the same time.

We feel like we're doing so much work but still not feeling deserving of where we're at or what we're doing.

What's the fix?

I think it's simple things, like:
- Putting Do Not Disturb on your phone.
- Muting Slack during certain hours so that you can put your head down and work on projects.
- Only accessing email twice a day.

A more intense exercise is to go on vacation without your laptop to get a good reset. It helps to know that the business won't collapse without you (hopefully), and it's always beneficial to step back from the day to day and realize what's important.

We talk about what it's like to have smart debt, debt that actually is going to work for you and generate some kind of ROI and how business debt is much different than like personal debt. like taking out a credit card or a loan to buy a Tesla just because you want it like that is not going to give you any ROI other than enjoyment. But then businesses, they can take out credit, some kind of loan, a line of credit in a smart and efficient and a safe way mitigating risk. But once they do that, they can grow quicker and they can generate, hopefully, an ROI that will more than pay back that debt. So, if you do it the right way, there could be a good route to taking debt in your company. And Bob Hunter gives us some great tips and advice on how to do that.
