What’s your favorite Deep Dives/Deep Cuts discovery?

Our 100th episode is coming up fast! Over the last 4 years Rob and Joseph have discovered a lot of music that are now cherished favorites from the era, it’s the best part of doing the show. So we’re dedicating our 100th episode to celebrating those discoveries and want your input to help determine what we feature.

What band/album/song did you hear for the first time listening to the podcast that is now beloved? (If you choose a band or album, be sure to identify a song that you feel is the best ambassador for what makes it special). During the episode, we’d love to share your pick and any insight into why it stands out for you.

You can submit your response in one of three ways:
1. Leave a comment to this post or message us directly on FaceBook.
2. Email us at [email protected]
3. Leave us a 90-second voice memo at: https://bit.ly/47RdRP8 (to be played during the episode).

Deadline is March 3rd. We look forward to hearing from you!

For many Americans, OMD's repertoire begins and ends with "If You Leave." But the band's impact on the Eastern Hemisphere began years before the release of the Pretty in Pink soundtrack, with a string of catchy, unique, unlikely hits topping the charts in many European countries during the first half of the decade. T&J are joined by Patrick, co-host of the podcast Known Pleasures, to discuss OMD's rich legacy as new wave synth-pop pioneers. Hit the link to be immersed in this very special Deep Dive!

A Complete List of Bands Covered on the Podcast (Updated)

Originally, we posted a list of all the bands we intended to cover over the course of this podcast. Over the last three years we've heard from many knowledgeable listeners with suggestions of additional bands for inclusion.

Needless to say, our list has grown considerably.

Since we're about to dive into Season Four and a new decade, we thought it was time to post an updated list.

Do you have a favorite punk or new wave band that we missed?

Please remember that they must have released at least one full-length, English language, studio album between 1980-1986.
